The following video is the latest from Erik Qualman, who has made several similar videos, releasing new ones as data becomes available.
Some highlights include:
– If Facebook were a country, it would be the 3rd largest in the world (even though access is forbidden in China).
– Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and Britney Spears have more Twitter followers than the entire populations of Sweden, Israel, Greece, Chile, North Korea and Australia.
– 69% of of children still haven’t learned and are “friends” with their parents.
– Facebook gets more traffic than Google in the US, and is responsible for half of all mobile internet traffic in the UK.

People Spend More Time on Facebook Than on Google

And that includes YouTube!
According to the Associated Press:
“In August, people spent a total of 41.1 million minutes on Facebook, [which is] about 9.9 percent of their Web-surfing minutes for the month. That just barely surpassed the 39.8 million minutes, or 9.6 percent, people spent on all of Google Inc.’s sites combined.”
That’s a lot of minutes. I just hope most folks spend them better than the clowns who end up on this site.
