Twitter’s New Look

Twitter has just launched a major redesign for Twitter.com, TweetDeck, and its mobile apps for iPhone and Android.

Mashable explains: Twitter “introduced three new buttons at the top of the page — Home, @Connect and #Discover. @Connect shows who has mentioned you and suggests some accounts you might want to follow. #Discover shows what’s trending and points you to notable stories and videos.”

Regarding Home, Twitter says it allows users to “immediately access your favorite features from the lefthand side. Photos, videos and conversations are embedded directly in Tweets so you can see the whole story at a glance. And now everything in Home will appear consistently across [all of your computers/devices].”

I follow a few celebrities and friends on Twitter and have their tweets sent to my phone via text. But other than to find out about a link one of them tweeted or to follow someone new that I heard about, I never actually use the website. So I just don’t care what the new redesign.

“Yours to discover” has been the slogan for the province of Ontario, Canada since the 80s.. Twitter denies knowing that but all you have to do is Google “Yours to discover” and it comes up.. F*** you twitter.
