Yep. Dan was a satire of Art of Fighting’s main character, Ryo Sakazaki, who was pretty much a ripoff of Ken and Ryu specifically (along with Art of Fighting ripping off Street Fighter in general). Dan’s moves are notoriously useless and no one willingly plays him. I don’t know why he keeps showing up in SF games.

Dan hibiki or something like that, if i remember well, he was first introduced in Puzzle Fighter as a parodic character and eventually became a SF character.

He tries to train other would-be fighters, and when he finds someone with talent, his offer to train them gets him beat up. But he thinks Ryu killed his father… he is a comic relief character. In pink. But as someone above said, since he can’t throw a decent Hadoken, if you can beat the game with Damn-you-Dan, pat yourself on the back.
