Meh indeed. Bi-polar disorder is the most over diagnosed, BS excuse for a mental illness. It happens to everyone. It’s called a sugar crash. Some people are babies and can’t stand feeling sad, or can’t control their tempers so they use it as an excuse. “It’s not my fault, I’m bi-polar waaaaa”. Back in the day, manic-depressive disorder and clinical depression were only diagnosed for people with real chemical imbalances. Nowadays a primary care physician, NOT EVEN A PSYCHIATRIST, will diagnose someone as bipolar.
You want a real disorder? Try being a schizophrenic. The doctor constantly monitors me, and there are bugs in all of my phones and electronics. They are probably reading this right now.
Of course “they” are monitoring you. “They” have your phones tapped. “They” have keystroke monitors on your computer and phone. “They” have a team of people follow you around, “they” regularly interview your neighbors, mailman even the woman that scans your food at the grocery store –”They” monitor all your purchases. “They” are only looking out for your best interests!.
@Prof. Tupac, you, apparently, should know better than all this bs you just spouted. Real bipolar is still basically the same as what was once called manic-depressive. Sure there are tons of people out there who call themselves bipolar because they’re a little sad but real bipolar has an extremely high rate of suicide.
You’re seriously saying how bs one mental illness is, saying it’s not s**t compared to yours? Really?
Yes, there are people who say they’re OCD about something yet don’t actually have OCD. ADD was overdiagnosed in the past. That doesn’t make an actual case any less of an illness than yours.
Get a life, seriously. While you’re at it, do more research cause it’s not very credible of you to judge people like that. It makes you a disgusting person on the inside. Afterall, ur just a random person who claims to have schizophrenia when you’re just out for attention. Sorry, I shouldn’t have stooped to your level .
You really should keep quiet. You and the person that commented on that status.
I tried killing myself 5 times, have been on meds since then, lost more of my life than I can count. If you really were schizophrenic you wouldn’t make fun of people who are mentally ill. Be ashamed of yourself.
Bi-polar is nothing to be laughed about. It is a serious illness. The person that has it can cause great harm to their own person, or to people around them. You might see them and they could be happy, but then they can turn any moment and get really mean or paranoid. Also, when they are alone they can get depressed and kill themselves. It takes a lot of medication and some people can’t even get the medication so they get worse and worse. Also, people on the medication might start feeling normal and stop taking the medication without first alerting their healthcare provider and then they can slip back into dangerous actions and the whole cycle starts over. Please, reconsider before you decide to LOL.
thanks for that. We’re all aware it’s a serious disorder, sometimes even serious things need to be laughed at. Hence why so many comediens make a ton of money making fun of racism.
Weeell… it made me laugh at first, but then I realized Grey is a f’ing real person. And Orange (the uploader?) is just a dumbass.
It’s not really… “polite” to answer a “I’m sick!” with a “LOL!”.
(It’s going to be Un-friend day tomorrow, right?)
bertbad is a narc for the cyberpolice! this guy is wearing a wire!!!
Seriously, go be a blogwh*re somewhere else. you are the only person with a link in your name. take that out and maybe we will take your faux concern seriously.
Can you tell me how to remove the link? This place is connected to wordpress.com, so when I signed in it was automatic. I cannot find where to change on my profile. Please help me?
What I meant is she doesn’t really have it, it’s just an excuse to take drugs and sleep all day. Then she’s well rested to go out on the town. She doesn’t even live with us, she is 25.
Umm there are two types of Bi-Polar. One is farily even in high and lows, the other is mostly lows but when the high hits it is very strong. Perhaps she is the one that is most lows (I think it is Type 2.)
You seem to be thinking of disassociative identity disorder. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone mix it up with bipolar disorder before, usually just schizophrenia.
Bipolar disorder is cycling of manic and depressive moods.
A LOT of people get DID and Bipolar mixed up. I personally don’t understand how but stupid teeny boppers are all “LOL! I’M SO BIPOLAR!” whilst listing off the traits their made up personalities have.
Or, you know, maybe they were actually talking about their bi-polar friend.
But I guess they did say it on the internet, so let’s just assume they’re wrong
I’ve been around actual bipolar people, and people who just claim it because they need an excuse. Yes, it’s an unfortunate mental illness, but there are worse things out there. If I could trade out my diabetes for BPD I would in a fat man’s heartbeat, for example. My girlfriend is a medicated BPD patient. Does that stop either of us from making jokes about BPD or diabetes? No! Because there’s humor in either to be had, if you don’t have an elm tree up your ass.
My friend does that but its because her mobile phone capitalizes the first letter of every word, so she doesnt actually set out to purposefully do it… Mystery solved see, lol!
ok, not to be a downer, but as a Bi-polar mom, this is truly nothing to joke about, ever. It is a horrible, gut wrenching, dangerous, family destroying disease. Until you have walked in one’s shoes, keep your stupid, idiotic, uninformed jokes to yourself. I am disgusted this is reprinted. No one posts cancer jokes, or handicapped jokes. This is just as bad. Done Rant.
I happen to live with someone who is bi-polar, and I find this absolutely hilarious. I also live with someone that is a paranoid scizophrenic and he makes the bi-polar person seem normal. If you cant laugh at something like this, maybe it is you that has the problem.
I’ve been dealing with mental health crap since I was 14 so while on some level I can see your point I suggest you learn to laugh at your problems, makes life a lot easier! Oh, and people do post cancer and handicapped jokes, some of them are pretty good.
Or good and evil twins! One dressed in black and the other in white, separated as young children and trained in the art of combat, fated one day to meet again on the battlefield and decide the fate of the world!
I have bipolar disorder and I think this is a pretty funny joke, actually. It makes me feel better to inject a little harmless humor into a serious and depressing situation. We’re humans and it feels good to laugh.
As long as people recognize that bipolar disorder is as awful and serious as you say (and yes, many people don’t realize this, unfortunately) I see no harm in a joke like this. Some jokes can be very hurtful, but I don’t think that this is one of them. Have you ever checked out the Stand Up for Mental Health comedians?
Whew, thanks… it sounds so much better comming from you than me going on a rant at this lady taking the joke so personally. I bet she laughs at dead-baby jokes though
… I would laugh at Cancer or Handicap jokes… why -doesn’t- anyone make those jokes? If AIDS is funny Cancer has to be a close second and my mom had Cancer two years ago…. If people are going to be idiots and air their personal business out on FB, like a diagnosis from their doctor for BPD, or any other internet service for that matter, maybe they deserved to be mocked and laughed at. And before you start ranting about how “you don’t know what it’s like” I do, so save your self righteous bulls**t for someone who actually cares what you think.
I hate to be the lame person who says this, but with bipolar disorder, you don’t have mood swings within an hour. Your moods, depressive or manic, would last days, weeks, months, or even years. Bipolar disorder is very serious and I don’t appreciate humor at its expense.
I disagree. I know a girl who is bipolar, and her moods change quickly. Of course, she does use it as an excuse to be a complete and utter b#tch most of the time, so I’m sure a lot of her moods are exaggerated, but not all of them. I am not commenting on bipolar people in general, just her. She is the only bipolar person that I know.
Actually, there are varying types of cycles… and people that have rapid cycling BPD do cycle from moment to moment… And I do appreciate humor at it’s expense. If I didn’t I’d probably kill myself. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I’m not kidding.
did anyone else notice that the last post was made “a few seconds ago”? I’m calling fake troll, person posts the comment for personal giggles, screen grabs, and deletes. of course if the person were to check the e-mail for what was said then s/he’d be in for it.
I seriously can’t stand how uneducated people are in retrospect to bipolar disorder, and how over-diagnosed it is. I’ve been living with a genuine manic depressive for the last ten years, and it’s not something to laugh about. I’ve seen my brother break chairs, I’ve seen my brother break his knuckles against the wall, I’ve seen him stay in bed for a week with no food or light, I’ve been threatened to be killed by him many times and I’ve seen him on a high where he nearly killed himself. There is nothing remotely amusing about the disorder, and it is not, in any way, the equivalent of mood swings.
tl;dr: bipolar disorder is not something to joke about.
What a lousy thing for someone to say to another who’s just been diagnosed with a serious mental illness. I get that people react differently to news like that and they were likely just trying to “lighten the situation”, but seriously.
I just want to put out, all you cave trolls making fun of Bi-polar because you’re prejudice, be quiet. Bi-polar is a real disease, it does exist, it is a serious mental ilness
I just want to point out to a few of you that BPD does not stand for Bipolar disorder, as Bipolar is one word. BPD actually stands for Borderline Personality Disorder. Wow, read a f***ing book once in a while dimwits.
LMAO!! I’m a doctor and sent this link to one of my patients (and friends) who has bipolar disorder. Needless to say, he absolutely pissed himself! As did I. Best thing i’ve heard for months!
The fail was funny, but not anybody’s opinion! Chill out and have a laugh. Like the doc said….If a bipolar sufferer can find it funny and not offensive then the rest of you need to grow up and stop arguing just for the sake of it!
Meh

They told me when it’s all over I get cake.
THE CAKE IS A LIE!!
No it isn’t. There will be cake at the end of the test.
tl;dr
Well pin a rose on your nose.
I cried when they killed my Cube…
They never gave me cake. Does that mean I have more test to complete?
Um.
@Prof. Tupac, you, apparently, should know better than all this bs you just spouted. Real bipolar is still basically the same as what was once called manic-depressive. Sure there are tons of people out there who call themselves bipolar because they’re a little sad but real bipolar has an extremely high rate of suicide.
Loxapine, risperdal and quietapine. Bon apetit.
Wow I was overly harsh. Maybe I’m bipolar too LOL.
That’s just what they want you to believe.
“High” is an understatement.
Try 1 in 5 vs the US rate of 13 per 100,000
thanks. that really pissed me off…. I’m bipolar and I don’t use it as an excuse… actually I try to hide it. and I’ve tried to kill myself 9 times
You’re seriously saying how bs one mental illness is, saying it’s not s**t compared to yours? Really?

I could be wrong, but I think the schizophrenia bit was a joke.
Or perhaps the whole post.
You really should keep quiet. You and the person that commented on that status.
I tried killing myself 5 times, have been on meds since then, lost more of my life than I can count. If you really were schizophrenic you wouldn’t make fun of people who are mentally ill. Be ashamed of yourself.
5 times? wow. I’ve failed 9.. and told ONE PERSON I trust about it and he laughed at me for failing…
I’m sorry that you are schizophrenic but don’t go telling off some disease that you barely even know about. I’m just a voice of reason here right now.
i understand your anger but bi polar is a real illness which does wreck lives mine included
huh?
LOLLLLL!
Bi-polar is nothing to be laughed about. It is a serious illness. The person that has it can cause great harm to their own person, or to people around them. LOL!
HaHaHa stop laughing DeaF this is very serious hahahahah
*cries*
Bi-polar is no laughing matter.
Actually it’s hilarious!
…But now that I think about it, it’s not funny at all.
LMFAO
WIN!
Shut up dude, you don’t have it. Thats not funny
It is when you decide to take your car apart an alphabetise all the parts and then realise you can’t put them all back together again.
I suppose the best way to cope with being bipolar is to enjoy the highs, rather than dreading the lows that follow.
Nah, ennui FTW.
tl;dr
thanks for that. We’re all aware it’s a serious disorder, sometimes even serious things need to be laughed at. Hence why so many comediens make a ton of money making fun of racism.
I agree, it’s not quite as funny as AIDS
I wish more people boasted about AIDS on facebook, then it would surely make it on failbook
Bertbad, police of the internets, am I permitted to lol? I have bipolar.
no laughing…..
Bobbin you have a good point, are bipolar people permitted to enjoy the lol?
I did.
Weeell… it made me laugh at first, but then I realized Grey is a f’ing real person. And Orange (the uploader?) is just a dumbass.

Can I still get badges this way?
Hey, Prof. Tupac, will you be my friend on Twitter?
Crap, it signed me back in to the website. Does it have to do with cookies? Should I delete all my cookies and try again?
Wow, you’re a real winner. Glad your step-daughter has such an understanding and caring person in their life…

what the f*ck is twitter?
What is Twitter? Lol, n00b. Go back to 1996 and learn the internet. Then come back and find me on Twitter.com
Cool story, bro.
My bipolar friend thought it was hilaaarious. I’ll let them know they’re wrong though.

But it’s still funny! ^_^
Why Do People Capitalize Every Letter In A Sentence?
Every *First* Letter, That Is
To Let The World Know What They’re Talking About Is Srs Bsnss.
Because Their Thoughts Should be a Novel on the New York Times Bestseller List.
what if they are bipolar, do they talk in lowercase?
Good Question!
Maybe it’s the title of his autobiography?
Because They Think Their Status Updates Are Titles

Or good and evil twins! One dressed in black and the other in white, separated as young children and trained in the art of combat, fated one day to meet again on the battlefield and decide the fate of the world!

it’s not a disease.

“how f_cking great?” is perfectly ambiguous to begin with.
Orange fails once for being boring and once again for being redundant
You fail for not knowing what Bi-polar disorder is.
This joke is in bad taste, but it’s still funny.
I feel sorry for bipolar people, and I feel sorry for bipolar bears too….
why feel sorry for the bears? they’re not restricted to sex with one gender!
Ha nice
In poor taste. I’m pretty disgusted too…
Give it time,
I love this so much
I don’t get it. What’s so funny about white bears that go both ways?

here here!!
I grew up with extreme OCD, ordinary ADD, depression, anxiety, and terrets. I laugh at jokes about any of it still.
If that were true, you would know it’s spelled Tourette’s. Might want to memorize that if you’re going to claim to have it.
Snap. You are awesome.
Maybe he meant ferrets?
They can be extreme too…
I have ferrets. And turrets.
Try severe Asperger’s syndrome, social anxiety, OCD, bipolar, and Tourette’s
How I manage to survive? I have no idea. I do ‘well’ though, considering.
Not funny. Extremely offensive and incorrect. Bipolar isn’t just a “mood swing” disorder. It’s extreme and can really ruin people’s lives.
So kind of like your trolling?
What a lousy thing for someone to say to another who’s just been diagnosed with a serious mental illness. I get that people react differently to news like that and they were likely just trying to “lighten the situation”, but seriously.
The person who made that their status is an attention seeker. Only histrionic people blast a personal diagnosis over Facebook for everyone to see.
