I get your point, and I do agree on the whole with what you seem to be saying, but a) saying “American” as an insult means you are insulting a people, not a country. Subtle yet important difference. b) showing HATE towards ANY country means you are really insulting yourself, regardless of that country’s merits. So no need to talk about how much you’re giving, that just ensures you come off as having a major superiority-complex. c) saying “go f yourself” and turning scrovluca into scrotum, but then turning around in the same post talking about tastelessness and showing your age is, well, somewhat hypocritical and d) (and admittedly I’m nitpicking at this point, but it just bothers me) I get what you mean with “foreigners”, or at least I assume you are talking about non-Americans, but you should take into consideration that you, to me, are a foreigner. So to me the first sentence sounds like you are insulting yourself.

“Just” is rather ambiguous, though. I’d be likely to use the same wording even if something had happened 15 minutes ago, and I had waited until I got to my destination.
Another possibility is that the expressway itself was bumper-to-bumper traffic, in which case texting wouldn’t reall be an issue.
True. The fact that she’s texting after the fact did not cause her to make the mistake in the first place. However, she’s still texting while driving into oncoming traffic. Is it too much to hope that an 18 wheeler plowed her six feet under moments after she updated?
