You’d be surprised at how many women “accidentally” get pregnant, thinking that it will solidify the relationship or how many men push the women to get knocked up, thinking it’ll keep them around.
You make a strong point, but you forgot to mention the fact that she chose to have sex with the ‘lazy, ugly man’ in the first place. While the guy here is definitely a git, you can’t shift it all on to him, and remove the woman from the equation completely by making her a martyr. Or does alcohol negate responsibility nowadays? (I may have missed the memo).
The point Smarter is making is that unplanned pregnancies are usually difficult for both parties, unlike Mark who seems to think the women always benefit and men always suffer. No one is claiming that the man is solely responsible for the kid, just complaining about men who dodge their fair share of responsibility.
Thank you Smarty. Yeah, all women are just dying to push babies out of their uterus just so they can have a lifetime of responsibility and receive an inadequate amount of child support. Mark and Boodle, you disgust me.
Come of it, all of you. It just depends on the people involved – there are manipulative, exploitative women around, just as there are lazy, irresponsible men.
@Smarter than you and Salome. Get off your high horses.
1) You can’t seriously believe that there are no women in the WORLD who haven’t gotten pregnant “accidentally”? Really? You really believe that? Then I’ve got some bad news for you (see point 4)….how naive can you be!
2) You then go on to paint all men as “lazy, ugly”. I take it this means you’ve never ever met, or even seen, a male you find physically attractive or hard working, as you can’t seem to comprehend that there may be a scenario where a very appealing (attractive, wealthy, nice, hard working etc etc) male might be trying to break out of a relationship, and the female is scared of losing him. Assuming you are speaking from personal experience, perhaps you just have rubbish taste in men.
3) “If he stays around, all he wants is sex and cannot be bothered to even pick the kids up from school” <- Yeah, way to go. You call Boodle an ass, but perhaps you should have a look at yourself first. Talk about stereotyping!!!
4) This is a completely true story. One of my best friends met a girl, and they started dating.
She lived out of town, and stayed at his flat quite a bit. One day she turned up with a bunch of stuff and announced "I've quit my job so I can just live here with you". Uh…. ok?
She then decided she didn't need to work "I can't be bothered getting a job – you earn enough for both of us."
This went on for a couple of months, but it was obvious it wasn't working out. She was a lazy bludger who did nothing (and I mean nothing – he somehow got roped into coming home at lunch time to MAKE HER LUNCH. Even though she was sitting at home watching tv all day, and he was at work).
He was getting sick of it, and was constantly complaining to us about her and how he could get her to at least move out (i.e. be a little bit independent). Oh… soon after that we (the boys) got banned from going around there.
Then, one day, she asked for money saying she "needs something". My friend asked "what for?" and she just went "Oh, don't worry about it".
A few weeks later she was pregnant. My friend said "But you're on the pill? Damn. Can't believe we are one of the 1%" (you know how the pill is 99% effective or whatever).
Then – the bombshell.
"Oh, remember how I asked you for some money but you refused to give it to me? Well, that was for the pill, as I'd run out. So I couldn't get any more".
"Um, and why didn't you TELL ME THIS, seeing as we had unprotected sex????"
"Oh, I didn't think you'd be interested. Girl stuff, you know. Anyway – it's your fault. If you'd just given me the money then it wouldn't have happened".
Right – so she decided to move in, then decided to not get a job because he earned plenty, then banned him from inviting his friends over and THEN decided not to tell him she was off the pill, even though they were having unprotected sex. Sure – a risk on his part, but he thought she was on the pill. She KNEW she wasn't, but didn't tell him.
If that's not tricking someone into getting you pregnant, I don't know what is.
Oh, and about 3 months after the child was born, she complained she couldn't handle it, moved back to her parent's place and took the kid so they could bring it up.
p.s. She now has another child, to another guy, who she isn't with.
SO please – don't go painting all guys with the "lazy ugly 'man' who thinks they are all that" brush. Some of us are great guys – hard working, loving fathers – and some of you ladies as psychos.
DOES NOT MATTER!!!!! You slepp with someone the risk is there. And the child is YOURS! So you better help pay for everything it needs. Food, clothes, medical etc. You cannot go over to a fireplace and put your hand in the flame, get a burn and then complain you did not know how hot it was and not your fault. You cleep with a woman, baby comes, it is yours step up. There is never an excuse to abandon child. NEVER> And sending money is not being a dad. spend time with kids, And if it is not a good environment? Giving the child to responsible adults with money, a home, and morals is a good decision. I say hooray for the girl realizing that they could not give the baby the life it deserved. If the man wants the child, file a legal petition. He has rights. If he actually cares?
Why didn’t he dump her the second she “just turned up” and moved in? Especially if she refused to work! I’d dump any guy that was that lazy. I understand she might have been pregnant already by that point but very rarely does any human being completely act like that out of nowhere..there had to have been signs before this. Why didn’t he take the enormous warning signs of her being a psycho?!
There is a small part of me that thinks your freind is a moron and deserves to be saddled with a kid if he was dumb enough to be with her dumb ass that long.
You know as well as anyone that few people care to live a life without sex. The pill is a good, reliable way to prevent pregnancy, while a condom may be forgotten about in an inebriated state.
You strike me as one of the more extreme feminists. Just as you are asking us men to keep our stuff in our pants, I will ask your kind to keep your strange ideals to yourself.
Go Mommylissa! This is my opinion 100%, no one makes you sleep with a woman and you’re 100% sure of all the risks involved so why cry poor me when you knock someone up? You know you can’t always trust other people so why trust someone with something as important as the potential to create a human life? If you a MAN 100% does not want a child then wrap it up or keep it in your pants! Same goes for women who have kids they don’t want to care for, they need a boot up the ass!
Sad, but true. Women aren’t angels… And some of them are really stupid, like this girl I know that got pregnant to keep her boyfriend… eventhough none of them was ready to have a kid. Now she’s miserable, he’s too, and their two-year-old kid definetely is too. So, yeah, not every woman is a poor victim in this kind of stories.
(Sorry for the bad spelling, French here…)
does not matter why got pregnant. There is now a child. STEP up!!!!! You slept with her, it is your kid. Unless she held you down, jerked you off against your will, put your stuff in a turkey baster and impregnated herself, it IS your fault. Forget the mom. It is YOUR CHILD. No matter what or why. So pay and play/
AGAIN, does not matter!!! He slept with her. So he is responsible no matter what. Whether she leaves, takes money etc. Forget the mom. The boy/girl is HIS. At any time he needs to be prepared to help out the child. there is never any excuse to ignore the child. NEVER. The mom could be satan. You slept with her. baby satan. still responsible.
This is why I say people are way too casual about sex. Theres not a lot of trickery involved, If you have sex…and besides, he could have insisted on a condom.
Mark was just responding to the scenario, and clearly sharing (stupidly) something about his life. Raging feminists are as bad for the female image as crazy ladies who want the babies to keep the mans. Specially applicable to Australia what with the free moneys for having the babies.
Do you think that the “father” in this case really cares about that? Even being exposed before his friends as a deadbeat dad doesn’t seem to have any effect, and obviously, the legal authorities haven’t done anything to this guy. He’s getting away with it (probably because there are so many cases like this that the courts are overloaded and don’t have the resources to enforce their rulings).
It used to be that people would get married before having children, but since that idea has been rejected as “old-fashioned,” situations like this are the natural consequence.
But of course, it’s always best to desperately cling to double-standards and think that it’s all the man’s fault, while believing that you’re “smarter than us.” Female logic is always something to behold.
He isn’t defending the man. I think part of his point is that it isn’t “all” the man’s fault. If you don’t want to get pregnant ‘from some lazy, ugly, “man”’, then, uh, don’t do have sex with him.
Both people are responsible for making the baby.
I think he’s also talking about the natural consequence of our behavior. If people who aren’t truly committed to each other have sex, this is one of the possible outcomes. To participate in that behavior, and then blame it all on the other person, is illogical.
The fault for an unplanned pregnancy might be 50/50 (at least for genuinely unplanned ones), but for nonpayment of child support the fault is squarely on the father. If I fail to pay my electric bill, it’s my own damn fault when the power goes out. How could it be the mother’s fault if a guy doesn’t pay his child support? You owe money, you pay it. It’s a pretty simple idea.
As a single mother I can safely say that your opinion is crap. If you have any brains at all it is easy to get daycare and a job. Quit blaming your problems on other people.
As a single mother of 2 I can safely say, it isn’t always easy. Not when it costs 8 dollars PER child for daycare and you only make 10 bucks an hour in the first place. Just saying.
I think, if you have sex, whether on the pill or not, it is both responsibilties to step up for the good of the child, men shoould hear and know there are women like that. But once that baby is on it’s way, it’s time to be there for that baby. saying it isn’t my fault will not make that baby magically disapear from existance.
she really is suck a bad mom, or a ho as he puts it, why isn’t he trying to take that baby from her? Block her and take the situation to court. The argument everyone is in is simple. If he thinks she is crazy, got pregnant on purpose, whatever, the baby is still his and still his responsibility. But he needs to A. either pay child support and understand why she is pissed (even if the way she expresses it is not very classy, which is wasn’t) or B. take custody of the baby (both scenarios he’d be doing the responsible thing) or there is even a 3rd option, give up all the rights to the kid and giving up seeing him again. What happened or how it happened does not change the fact, it happened. Just saying.
Excuse me, no body said she slept with many men. She could have fallen in love. They have sex and a baby is made. WONDERFUL> Nothing better than life. So she assumes that the man who loved her enough to sleep with her would be excited for a family. NOPE! The man can go postal and call her names, say its not his, run out, sleep around, impregnate 10 ladies. Laugh as she gets fatter and is alone, not going out as she cannot even afford vitamins. Who would date the young single pregnant woman? The dad? No one knows. Baby is born. Mother has painful labor and leaking boobs. Father????? So she is up everynight with the baby she loves. Does Dad have to be there? Or even acknowledge it? Do not give me the 50/50 crap. 50/50 made it. But only 50 must deal with consequences. pregnant mothers cannot deny maternity, or bills, or screaming child. please. idiot,
You make an awful lot of generalizations there. Just because you’ve had bad experiences with men doesn’t mean all men are disgusting pigs, just like how all women aren’t poor helpless saints.
I have had NO bad experiences with men. I have been married for over 11 years and have 2 kids ages 5 and 8 that we planned and had. I am a teacher and have seen these situations TONS of times. I also volunteer at a womens shelter. I am sorry but the ratio of the men who stick it in and run is waaaaaaaay bigger then women “tricking” men into babies. (seriuosly? if you had ANY idea what being pregnant and raising a baby was like you would laugh at this statement.)
Nope. Just an educated women who works with women and families and sees this everyday. Pamphlets, magazines, research studies, polls, statistics are everywhere. If people take time to read or question you would see the true numbers. And why would it matter if I had a good or bad experience? I am using logic, science, actual data and studies to make my case. Not whiny poor excuses.
Once more, you’re just perpetuating an attitude that a single woman needs a man to help her raise a child. You’re doing more damage to women and the female perception of motherhood than any social good. Congrats, you’re a teacher that’s putting social progress back a few decades – something your children will be proud of no doubt -.- but if you have daughters consider this – say a man they love impregnates then leaves – should they waste time whining about it on facebook and humiliating him publicly? Or, I dunno, getting a job, child care etc.
Pamphlets, magazines, studies, etc? You do realize that much information in all of those media is incorrect? You aren’t stating any facts, you’re just spewing hate speech.
Both have made tons on generalisations but I just really am against the attitude that Smarter gives off. She just doesn’t seem to acknowledge that women can be just as bad as men when it comes to neglectful parenting and the like and that women aren’t always poor helpless beings that need protecting. Her stance offends me as a woman.
The other attitude that you mentioned is just as bad as Smarter’s. I think people really need to keep in mind both women and men are just human beings and can be just as awful/guilty/annoying as one another.
There’s a reason sex outside of marriage is stupid. Say what you want but if people didnt sleep around so casually, and if people didnt condine it as natural, there would be much less of this.
I’m in “Linda’s” same situation, except I’ve been in it for 14 years.
It was my husband’s stated desire to have a child – I was more reluctant because I thought we should buy a house first.
As soon as I got pregnant – I mean, like within two weeks – he was staying out all night and, before too long, swinging his fists around. It’s like he needed the excuse of me being pregnant for him to find the strength to say he wanted out.
And guess what else – when we divorced a year later, I was baffled by how many of our friends suddenly avoided me. I finally confronted one of them, and was told that they’d lost all respect for me ever since I’d “tricked” him by going off the pill without telling him. I almost fell over from shock: The decision to have a baby was one that HE brought up, and one that HE kept coming back to, over a span of months, even going so far as HIM throwing away a pack of my pills at one point. (And I refused to have sex with him because I was still uncertain.) The pregnancy was very much with his knowledge and consent – it was HIS IDEA.
Do you suppose any of our friends believed that, after he’d spread his “she tricked me, boo-hoo-hoo” story? Well, a few of them did, to be fair. But most of them probably still feel sorry for him, and blame me – or, as in your comment, get judgmental about morality.
Now he pays child support and medical bills whenever he feels like it. I work, as I always have (usually two jobs), and am doing a d@mn fine job of raising this child on my own. But I kind of wish I had the nerve to publicly shame him as “Linda” has done here, if my son was younger and oblivious. It would be nice to get to tell my side of the story.
Educated?
Your language and grammatical use is akin to that of a teenager and your generalisations such as “all babies are a wonderful blessing” (I’m paraphrasing there) denote a wholly inaccurate view of the world.
And lest you accuse me of being some deadbeat man, let me point out that I’m female and was once tricked into pregnancy by a man who sabotaged the contraception as a means of controlling me.
oh don’t be ridiculous – it is the womans choice whether or not she keeps the baby – if the dads a loser and runs away when he finds out she is pregnant no one forces her to keep the baby do they – she could just do the sensible thing for someone in a situation of doesn’t want and cannot afford a child and have a termination. Yeah it takes two for conception to occur, but it is the women who choose to keep a child they cannot look after properly. Get a termination or have it adopted if its such a problem, but stop whingeing how it is somehow the mans fault
If he knows that many words as a two-year-old, I bet he’ll be a super-popular singer in 2-4 years. Even his name is Jason, they could be a duo. (you know who I’m talking about.)
To be fair though, he added the child, not her. Although, he did know that she was the one behind it, so…
I’ll stick with the “he shouldn’t have knocked her up in the first place” answer…
There may be a valid reason he isn’t paying. He could be disabled or under-employed (as in not making enough money to survive). It’s also possible that he is waiting on a paternity test to prove the child is his.
When you’re disabled, incarcerated, in a certified drug treatment program, or receiving unemployment insurance or public benefits, you are not responsible for paying child support. If you have a change in income that affects your ability to pay, you can usually get your liability reduced or removed.
A lot of times, guys go through a whole lot of hassle to keep Child Support Services from knowing about their income, to get out of paying. Like never staying in a job more than two months, working under the table on a day-to-day basis, etc. Which just messes with EVERYONE.
If you owe it, pay it. If you didn’t want to owe it, don’t have a kid. Each and every one of us is entirely capable of avoiding reproduction if we really want to.
Tubal Ligation. Done by a proficient doctor, you could combine that with an IUD or the pill and be totally covered. Not tough at all. For males, vasectomy and condoms. Problem solved.
Oh do tell me how I can make that ‘not tough’. I have been trying for 10 YEARS to get sterilised and just had yet another doctor go “you are too young, you haven’t have any children so you’d change your mind later”.
I do not have the money to pay for the operation privately and I can’t find a single NHS doctor willing to do it. So tell me how?
THANK YOU! This is funny, but please tell me you guys aren’t taking it seriously… I mean, WTF, you though 2-year-olds can type things on facebook? This is fake. I don’t care, but I just wanted to tell you… when I thought Americans couldn’t get any more stupid. People below and above me… its a joke. (Though it is happening. With the exception of the kid complaining on Facebook.)
You don’t know it’s fake. The father says he thought the mother was crazy when she made a profile page for their 2 year old. That’s perfectly within the realm of “possible.”
The joke is that people actually behave like this.
1) Nobody thinks the child wrote that (if someone does, they probably thought the kid was older). If you’ve seen someone say that above your message in this thread then please show me.
If you’re referring to Rodney, his comment was either a joke or he meant that the father added his son to see pictures and updates written by the mother (makes sense if you don’t have custody) and not to fight over their problems.
2) The whole point of this entry is not about making people believe a 2 year-old wrote this. The point is that the mother is so crazy she uses her child to make drama and get empathy and fight with the father. This kind of behavior is crazy, freaky, nuts… That’s the point of posting this here.
3) It’s obvious you are just an American who hates foreign nations and you’re trying to make it look like Europeans and people from other countries in general are always insulting the USA and hate you. Nobody buys that, we all know you’re really an American.
I’ll also have you know that like most Europeans who ever criticized the USA, I only have a problem with the USA’s government and the US citizens who are nut-jobs or who have exchanged their free thinking for patriotism. I respect Americans who can be critical of their country when needed, who are educated and who display critical thinking skills. But of course, if you’d rather be a fanatical patriot you won’t get that. You only think in terms of “We vs. Them”.
actually weirdo, thats obviuos. But she in no way is bashing all americans. AND people are having a huge very seriuso debate and he jumps in with stupid crap? No one cares.
Judging by the number of responses and postings about what I said I would guess many are interested. And I had no idea FACTS, scientific data, logic, studies and polls were femi-nazi. Hmmm….must have missed that in the bibliography. Did you read that in your comic books?
A f**king idiot like you needs to rip on Americans in EVERY SINGLE SUBMISSION.
You have no clue whether any of those people were American, you just decide that they’re American because you’re a brainwashed idiot who is constantly looking to validate your jealousy-fueled stereotypes.
It is really unfair to rip on Americans every time something like this pops up. Honestly, I’m also assuming that these folks are residents of the good ol’ U.S. of A., but I’m not applying my opinion of them to EVERYONE. I find it ironic, and feel that by making disparaging statements like that, you automatically make Americans BETTER than yourself, simply by being high and mighty.
And I’m damn sure it’s not just Americans who are not grasping that the mother is running her toddler’s facebook page.
I am American, and I know that a lot of us are smart. But, it is a common stereotype that we are dumb, and I feel your pain, but you don’t need to get so OFFENDED. Sheesh, you should be less sensitive… I’m not an American-hating troll.
Why would Daniel Tosh’s comments be of any importance whatsoever?
That sh**ty show didn’t make me laugh once, the one time I watched it. It’s very annoying to see him cracking up at his own pathetic joke, while you’re waiting to be entertained.
wow what a great way to show how responsible you are as a parent i hope they know why they are on failbook cause they are stupid and need to grow the f**k up and stop worrying about the kids dad not being there and start worring about taking care of the damn kid
See, but if it were me, and I was the only one taking care of the kid, THE DAD SHOULD BE THERE. BOTH parents should accept responsibility…
I’m glad I haven’t had one yet. Wish more people would realize the drastic life change and constant responsibility having a child entails….I understand accidents happen, but thats why people need to be responsible about sex & birth control in the first place, to minimize the chances. This could be another example of two people rushing into sex before they really knew each other well enough. That does seem to happen a lot. I figure, if its someone you would NEVER have a kid with, don’t have sex either…
No, but they definitely decrease the chances of pregnancy big time. And they aren’t the only option available. She could’ve been on the pill, he could’ve worn a condom, and they could have decreased chances of pregnancy by 99.9999999%. Now that the child is 2, it is too late for that, but both parents need to learn to act like adults.
I agree they are acting like two-year-olds themselves, especially dragging their personal drama onto Facebook for all their friends to see. But we don’t know for sure that they didn’t take precautions against getting pregnant.
it’s true. my ex and i had our son while using condoms AND birth control pills. I thought I was pretty safe from pregnancy, but nope! lol it CAN happen. 99.99999% does not equal 100%.
Well there are some surgical procedures that are 100% effective.
Although they are permanent. But in the case of that woman it would be the right thing to have done.
Actually, the only 100% effective method of *birth control* is abortion. Even sterilization (vasectomy, tubal ligation, essure, endometrial ablation) has a very small but statistically significant failure rate.
The only 100% method of *contraception* (preventing pregnancy, not just birth) is keeping your clothes on.
So, before you take the clothes off, you’ve got to know where your partner stands on pregnancy. It’s far, far easier to make those decisions rationally before conception.
Hey idiot, abortion is not birth control. Birth control is preventing conception. Abortion happens after conception. so abortion is pregnancy termination. The only true birth control is abstention. AND for those people who get pregnant using condoms and pills, studies show it is 99.9% effective is used RIGHT! Accidents happen when the man uses condoms too big or small, generic weak condoms, puts it on wrong. Pills must be taken everyday, at same time, and started at the right time.
Really? huh. I would think not putting your thing in one slot or another counts. Either way we are discussing a majority of a group being men deciding to screw people one way or another.
you are incorrect. Sterilazation is number one. THEN IUD and the pill are both 99%. But the pill can have user error, ie, mtaking it at different times, forgetting a day, so IUD is more foolproff.
No. Tubes being tied ate 99.8%. The new sterilaztion not only ties the tubes but cauterizes the end like a Vasectomy. It is 99.9%(look it up. I do this for a living at a womens shelter) Mirena is NOT 99.9%. It is 99.8. AND Mirena needs to be changed more than a regular IUD which can cause mishaps as well as a lot more breakthrough bleeding.
So you volunteer at a women’s shelter (I hope that’s not true) and that makes you a medical expert? FYI, just because you read something on the interwebz doesn’t mean it’s true. I get my medical advice from these things called DOCTORS, not creepy propaganda spewers on the internet.
Of course, lying makes you lose validity anyway (not that you had any.) Previously you said you volunteer at a women’s shelter and here you claim that you “do this for a living.”
First, I do not get info on the internet. I spend 30 hours a week at a shelter with Doctors, counselors, nurses, and rehab workers. While I do not get paid I spend much of my time working there so call it what you will. I did not realize semantics had a proper place on FB. The information comes from published scientific facts in a number of recognized scientific publications. As well as the 120 hours of training you must do to work/volunteer in a shelter. Please stop making childish comments on a subject you seem to know nothing about. It just makes you look really sad.
That depends on the method of “sterilization.” A woman can still get pregnant after having her tubes tied, but if she has her ovaries removed, then ovulation can’t happen.
Wouldn’t it have to be incredibly rare? Not just rare, but something you think would be on medical mystery books and television shows. One thing that worries me genetically is the rate of cancer that seems to run in my moms side of the family, and 5 family members have had hysterectomies. The idea of that regenerating to the point of being able to get pregnant is …I’m having a hard time even believing that.
Vanessa you are correct. The reason it may fail is NOT tissue regrowth. It is from the method used. Average procedures used in voluntary sterilaztion are purposely made weaker in the case of a need for “reversal”. The actual statistic for pregnancy after an operation such as this is 1 in 10, 000.
Do you realize that you’re saying that removing the whole uterus, ovaries and fallopian tubes might fail because ALL the tissue could regenerate? I’m with Vanessa, that has to be impossible. Even ovarian regeneration is incredibly rare; I can’t imagine how rare it would be to have the uterus and tubes come back to the point of a full term baby being possible.
I never said tissue could regenerate to the point that a baby would result, I said that tissue can regenerate to the point where PREGNANCY is possible.
What about the man? Or should I say man-boy? Reproductive surgery on women can be very dangerous and evasive not to mention the changes in hormones and what effects that can have on a womans body. Sexist ass…
The effectiveness is measured is measured like this: you get 100 couples to use the method of birth control for one year – then you check how many got pregnant. So 99% means one couple out of a hundred got pregnant after one year of having sex.
There is no adjustment made for the reason why the method failed. So if some couples e.g. just didn’t use condoms all the time or forgot to take the pill or whatever, then the effectiveness is still stated to be 99%. That’s because you’d rather err on the side of caution when deriving these statistics.
If you actually use birth control, and use it correctly, your chances of pregnancy are incredibly slim.
Actually, they keep two statistics: ideal use and typical use. So, for the pill, ideal use gets effectiveness up to 98-99%. Typical use (missing one now and then, taking medications that interfere with effectiveness) takes it down to more like 92-93% IIRC.
But, what *that* means (in the case of hormonal methods at least) is that, for 98-99% OF WOMEN, the pill is pretty much 100% effective when used ideally. But 1-2% of women have non-standard hormonal makeups that don’t respond well to hormonal birth control. Those women will be able to conceive while taking the pill perfectly most of the time, not just occasionally.
I was on the pill for 13 years, and never ever got pregnant. When we decided it was time to start a family, I got pregnant on the first try. With our second, it took three cycles, but I was still nursing his brother, which messes with hormonal balance and fertility. So I’m someone that the pill works really, really well for… but I know a few other women who have gotten pregnant two or three times while on the pill (and then finally realized this DOESN’T WORK for them… one of them then got a tubal, and STILL got pregnant again, but fortunately had a miscarriage).
Actually, condom + hormonal birth control is still only 98% effective. Using multiple methods of birth control does not increase the effectiveness of the birth control.
Nope. Most BC pills ALONE are 99.7% effective is taken correctly. I have the instructions that come with my pills right here.
Also, I think we are forgetting about the other option–abortion. Girls need to stop acting as if they have the worse part of this situation. You don’t HAVE to carry the baby. You don’t HAVE to have the baby. It may be in your body, but that means you also have the choice to have an abortion. Most men would jump on the chance to pay for an abortion rather than 18 years of child support.
And don’t give that “BUT I THINK IT’S MORALLY WRONG!” stuff. That’s your own strange little problem, isn’t it? If you did some research on the topic, I think you would see that that is simply not the case.
Birth control pills are approximately 99% effective with perfect use. That means you take the pill at the same time everyday and never miss a pill. That’s no how the real world works, though.
On the abortion subject, yes, abortion is a viable alternative to carrying a child to term, but abortion is NOT birth control.
Also, assuming that I would be anti-abortion is stupid. Most people are pro-choice. Why am I trying to explain things to you though? You’re just a troll.
Actually, abortion IS birth control. It is not contraception, however. Its intended use is as a last resort when contraception fails to prevent unwanted pregnancy (or to terminate a pregnancy for health reasons).
But yes, GPP is right; it’s an option to consider. You need to behave differently and be prepared for different things if you don’t consider it an option for you. I decided before I ever lost my virginity that, if I got pregnant without deliberate intent, I’d terminate the pregnancy. I made sure that any prospective partner knew this and was all right with it, too. Now I have my two kids that I wanted and planned, and my husband got a vasectomy the other day . And seriously, folks? That’s the way it should be. Every child invited with forethought into this world.
Medical abortion is quickly becoming the most common form of abortion. All you do is take a series of two pills, go home, and have some cramping and a period. The end. That’s how “fetuses are removed”. Over 94% of abortions are performed during the first trimester, which is when you can take the abortion pill. It’s not sick in any way. Do some real medical research and stop listening to what the church tells you.
OMG are you actually encouraging people to use abortion as birth control? Forget morality, it is idiotic. Do you know the complication rate from abortion? Horrible bleeding, infection, scar tissue, sterilazation etc? It is more dangerous to have an abortion. And sorry most adults have morals or shudder at the idea of randomly killing fetuses. I am glad it would be so easy for you to just rip a tiny beating heart out and flush it but I think having the baby and keeping or it having it adopted is a much better choice. still no baby to raise but no guilt of watching the teeny beating heart, eyleashes, teeny mouth and spine flushed(all present at 4-6weeks when most people know they are pregnant)
Actually pregnancy and child birth have more complications, higher mortality rates, and more risk than abortion. Based on your interweb “credentials” you should know that.
Again you are incorrect. Maybe the cereal box you are reading is outdated. Check cheerios. You do realize you said abortion has a lower mortality rate than childbirth. Ummm…the fetus dies EVERYTIME there is an abortion. Much more than childbirth. And while abortions have come a long way the risk of infection, scar tissues, and longer healing time is still much greater than childbirth.
Sorry, but making goofy comments about cereal doesn’t make you any less wrong, “Smarter than you”. Morality rates for real live human beings (as opposed to fetuses) are higher for childbirth than abortion. See my above comment about medication abortion as well. Just because you personally dislike abortion doesn’t mean you should spread medical misinformation about it. Nobody is forcing you to have one… that’s the beauty of choice, you see. And please don’t give me the whole “fetuses don’t get a choice!” crap. Fetuses don’t get a choice, not only because they are inside another human being’s body, but also because they can’t think and are not developed human beings. I mean, hell, cows can feel and move about and have basic thoughts and emotions, yet I don’t hear all the pro-lifers worried about their “choice” to be a burger.(End rant! )
Are you being serious? Have you had an abortion? It is a very traumatic, emotional and risky decision to make. I could care less how many men want to fund a womans abortion unless she 100% WANTS one he has no right!
No matter how many birth control methods you stack together the efficacy is determined only by the single method that is most effective. And I never said that it isn’t worth using birth control as you seem to have surmised, I simply said that no matter what there is still a chance of pregnancy.
You’re making random assumptions. For all you know, they were a committed couple before all this went down. It makes no difference whether she f**ks twenty guys or one guy twenty times and he turns out to be a deadbeat. That whole stud-slut double standard is pretty archaic, so let’s not do that anymore, okay? And she’s not “just as bad” as the deadbeat dad… she’s at least taking responsibility and raising the little bastard. The “dad” having to suffer a little FaceBook annoyance is a small price to pay compared to how her life’s been turned upside-down. As creepy and weird as it is, maybe guilting him online is the last tactic she has to get him to help out with his own offspring, for which he should be 50% responsible for. Who knows? Either way, I think people shouldn’t be allowed to breed without a license. >:P
No one said anything about sexual moors. You’re assuming that men who can’t make unrealistic child support demands are “deadbeats.”
We really don’t know what the situation is here. It’s possible they didn’t use protection and he chooses not to pay. It’s also possible that she lied about being on the pill, chose to have the kid without asking for his input, does not let him ever see the kid, and demands he pay for it like it’s 1950 and men are required to take care of women.
If the news shows a poor family that can’t pay the bills, they are victims of society. If the parents break up, suddenly he’s an evil “deadbeat” and everything is his fault and responsibility.
I know it’s fun to speak in platitudes, but you can’t separate your personal morals, the morals of legislators and universal truth.
The 1950′s SUCKED for women! What the hell is wrong with you idiots? I so so so so wish you could have spent the day in the life of a 1950′s housewife with a husband particularly fond of bars and alcohol. JERK!
Agreeing with your post on the whole, but for someone telling other people (annoying as they may be) that they’re making random assumptions you make quite a few of them yourself. Just saying…
Loving the breeding-license idea, btw. And as for the sweet couple this discussion is about: sounds to me like they deserve eachother..
Thank you! The only reason men aren’t considered sluts when they behave that way is the consequence of becoming pregnant themselves doesn’t apply to them. It’s so easy to call a woman a slut but think the man is awesome when the woman is the one who has to go around for 9 months with the proof of it in her uterus.
lol i love how a 2yr old is this proficient at typing :O its amazing how smart our kids are getting! and the fact he can spell that well is mind blowing
Are you serious?! I was with my son’s father for almost a year when I got pregnant. We were using birth control, but it clearly wasn’t 100% effective. HE is the one who ran off and now he isnt paying his support, and I’m left raising and supporting our child on my own. Not all baby mamas got that way by spending more hours on their back than their feet.
Hah, no, they definitely do. I meant Captain is oversimplifying things and making it sound like all girls who get pregnant and aren’t married are whores.
Actually, it is partly your fault. You didn’t HAVE to have the baby. That was a choice, and a bad choice, that YOU made. You shouldn’t complain about a choice that YOU made.
having my child was NOT in ANY way a bad choice! My son is a wonderful human being, who I love with all my heart. My point is not all baby mamas are whores, not every mother gets pregnant and keeps her baby just to ‘trap’ a man, and that whether the father likes it or not, he has a responsibilty. pay your child support guys. it’s the least you can do since mommy is out there dealing with the booboos and nightmares that you arent bothered with.
Learn to read. I said that abortion is not a method of birth control, I also said that it is a valid alternative to carrying the pregnancy to term. I am pro-choice.
You are a jack@ss. If he chose to have sex, being an adult and knowing the risks, He deserves the consequences of accidents just as much as the mother. Sex is still a responsibility people. FOR MEN TOO. He could have insisted on wearing a condom if he were THAT worried.
please, please tell me you are just being a devils advocate! If you commit an act that leads to human life you are responsible for it. This is not just morality but law.
Because he’s a stupid tit that didn’t take care to not spawn. Why is that so hard to understand? Once she’s knocked up, you don’t get a say in what happens next, the stakes are THAT high, so do what you gotta do and STFU! If you want to screw, but don’t want kids, it’s your job to make sure your sea monkeys don’t make it to the egg. Figure out what you’re willing to do to stop that from happening and drag on! 22 years of sex and no baby dramas testify that my methods worked for me.
My heart bleeds for you really. I don’t agree with men running off AT ALL. But as a women God have you the baby for a reason. Women are stronger then men. I love my kids enough to raise them on my own. With or with out their father. And I have FIVE of them. Yes, all with the same man I am married to. But if he dipped out.. they are still my kids. Nothing will change that.
This guy won’t sue for custody. It takes alot of work to raise a child and so far he hasn’t even chipped in the easy stuff-money and time. From what I see, he won’t be able to do the potty training, nose wiping, driving to and from where ever this kid needs to be, listening, teaching and sacrificing of yourself it takes to be a parent.
Sorry but you’re wrong.
1 – Courts do look at web postings for information on the parents.
2 – If either one of them used this in a custody battle, BOTH would lose. Incompetent.
1234(+) Maury fans thought this was entertaining. I’m one of the 114 (+) who think that kid deserves better than us laughing at the train wreck his life is going to be…
Men do the same thing. Why do men stick it in certain women? The world may never know WHY men and women can BOTH act like morons. Other than the super casual attitude some people have about sex these days, (three date rule, in my opinion, is way too casual) I am not sure.
hmm… 3 date rule casual? … i call bullsheet on that one.. sex is healthy, and not to mention fun, but if u take the right precautionary measures as in ‘wrap it up before u stick it up’ then there shud be no worries.
besides who r we to tell other people how to live there lives?
OK, major point being missed. First, obviuosly it is the mom making her point be “being” the kid. Passive agressive, not too original. Second, if the parents really made a FB account for child,, they need new hobbies. I get that people post videos and picts but really?
Next, I am so sick and tired of men implying that all women sleep around. “Waiting for a paternity test”? Ummmm yeah becuase I would pretend THIS guy was the father of my baby. Great Catch. Men can sleep around all day and get high fives and called a “pimp, or stud” Women will be called sluts, loose etc and are the ones left with the consequences. While men can play around and do whatever they want for 9 months while “waiting for the paternity test” really? You do know babies need vitamins, minerals, good food, healthcare, comfort while they are in the mom right? You should be supporting her. And last. I love this page. Cracks me up. But HATE this post. way too political and awful for open discussion for some of the “people” who hang out here. Just My Opinion.
First thing you need to do is change your name to “brainless femi-nazi drone.” Newsflash for you, special ed, we all realize that the mother wrote the post, not the toddler.
And as for the paternity test thing, just because a paternity test is requested doesn’t mean or even imply that the mother was sleeping around. Many men demand a paternity test because there’s no other way of knowing if the kid is really theirs. A woman always knows if the baby is hers, but the man can only know with the results of a blood test.
I love how women get called “femi-nazis” when they make a case for equal treatment. Curse us crazy femi-nazis! Why can’t we just deal with the babies by ourselves, shut up and get back in the kitchen? Ha ha, dweeb…
Yeah, she’s not making a case for “equal treatment” she’s making a case for “women cant raise a baby on their own and cannot possibly handle being the only one responsible for a child and need the father desperately to help them raise said child”. Definite femi-nazi, women can totally deal with having a kid on their own, and have been doing so for decades now.
You need to find a branch of feminism and stick to it (btw, the totaly equality branch is the wrong one -.- women will succeed in somethings and naturally fail at others).
By the way, since when does “equal” mean “exactly the same”? Equality is simply the idea that neither gender is superior or more valued than the other. It doesn’t matter if men, as a group, are better at some things and women, as a group, are better at others. They are both equal in value and needed for society to function. The differences between PEOPLE are much greater than the differences between SEXES. Example: I can do more push-ups than my boyfriend, but he’s a much better artist than me. Not expected because of our genders, but there you go. We both have our skills and our weaknesses. Equal.
First of all, women and men aren’t equal. Men are, generally, stronger and faster than women.
Second, the misnamed “Smarter than you” is not making a case for equal treatment of women, she is making a (greatly flawed) case for superior treatment of women.
Third, I am female, so don’t try to imply that I’m being chauvinistic.
Women are significantly better at multitasking, memory tasks, reading people’s subtle facial and vocal cues, reading/writing, and a multitude of other tasks. Bigger and stronger does not equal better. Just because they aren’t the same doesn’t mean one is superior. And, by the way, I am a two-time World Tae Kwon Do Federation gold medalist. I’ve kicked a lot of men’s asses. So you can put that idea away, too.
Just because women CAN raise kids on their own doesn’t mean they should HAVE to. It f*cks up your whole life and drains all your money. Responsibility and cost should be split 50/50 between the man and the women.
And guess what? Females can be chauvinists, too.
There is no scientific evidence to support the claim that women are better multitaskers. And I never said women aren’t better than men at somethings, just like men are better than women at others. I also never said that men are better than women, just that they aren’t equal. Just because you can do tae kwon do, which isn’t really dependent upon physical strength, doesn’t negate the fact that men are GENERALLY (look the word up if you have to) stronger and faster than women. Men have more testosterone, which is linked to higher muscle mass whereas women have more estrogen which is linked to body fat, which gives men and women there distinct shapes.
Raising a child alone does NOT f up your whole life and if you believe that you should not breed. I raise a child on my own and my life is great. Just because you hate being a parent that doesn’t mean it ruins people’s lives.
Yes females can be “chauvinists,” but female chauvinists are called feminists.
I’m rapidly getting the sense that you’re a grade school child…
Simple Google search:
“Additionally, there is a biological difference. According to MRIs performed, women have a larger corpus callossum (Halpern, 2000). The corpus collossum is the area of the brain that handles communication between the two hemispheres. It is responsible for synthesizing the information from the left and right side of the brain. In women, the corpus callosum is wider than that of men’s brains, which might enable the two sides to communicate better with each other. This is a theory as to why women might multitask more efficiently.” ~ DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY MWSU Study on Productivity, Multitasking and Gender Differences.
That said, the differences between men and women are awesome, and I’m grateful for them. Neither is better or worse, and any guy who is openly misogynistic is instantly suspected of being a closet case in my eyes. Period. In my experience, the stronger the guy, the stronger the character of his lady, the weaker minded the guy is, the more likely that his woman is weak minded too. Take that whatever way you wish, it’s just what I’ve seen over the years.
Right, one study makes it irrefutably true, never mind the fact that there are many other studies that show no such connection. There is no conclusive evidence that women are better at multitasking. And researchers do lie, if you don’t believe it look up Andrew Wakefield.
I have some research, I can manage to carry 3 bags, get a baby out of the car, grab whatever crap she has dropped on the floor, close the door, lock the car, put the keys in my bag and carry all of those things upstairs… men just cannot do this, they just can’t.
ur right, men can sleep around and get high 5′s, women sleep around and get nothing but negative remarks. a woman sleeps around and she is easy and guys go after her cause they know shes easy right?. a man sleeps around and hes a stud and women stay away from him cause hes a stud…wait no thats wrong. he became a playa cause women kept coming to him(or he kept going to women and saying/doing the right things) and most men arent gonna turn down sex sorry to say. no matter how u look at it a stud = man who sleeps with lots of women, slut = woman who sleeps with lots of men. the only reason for the positive and negative connotations is this: men and women think differently.
example u call a guy a man-whore: guy goes damn straight!!
u call a woman a whore: woman gets all upset and is “hurt”
call a man a slut: man goes ill be ur slut if u let me. lulz from other men ensue
call a woman a slut: the entire feminist movement wants to nuke every man in 100 mile radius….just sayin
double standards are many things: wrong, unjust, and stupid to name a few, however they can be funny. In this situation. the dad is being ACCUSED of being a dead beat dad. do we know for sure, hell no. he might be trying to see his child but the mom wont let him and is taunting him via facebook. he doesnt have to pay child support til he is ordered by court, has that happened, WE DONT KNOW. this whole argument is all assumtions and is therefore invalid.
I think it has less with how men and women think individually, and more to do with the hive mentality of society. This double standard used to be more prevalent in earlier decades, but it wasn’t just feminism that’s changed things. Diseases like HIV have made the ‘playa’ thing a lot less attractive too. I have to admit, if I know that a friend is racking up the ho- milage, I’m privately skeeved.
As far as the feminist thing, I just ignore them like I ignore the Westboro Baptist Church and misogynists, and bigots, etc. The attention whores are only a threat if you give them attention…
1) Rape.
2) Date rape.
3) Statutory rape (drunk/drugged).
4) Threatened with abandonment.
5) Peer pressure.
6) Other coercion.
7) Being taught their whole lives that they’re worthless pieces of crap, so the first guy who comes along and says “Hey, you’re beautiful, baby” gets it all.
8) It’s what their mom did/does.
9) It’s what their grandmothers did/do.
10) It’s what every female role model that will give them the time of day did/does.
11) Their parents kept them out of sex ed so they wouldn’t “be promiscuous,” so they got their education in the girl’s restroom and from their first encounter, and know things like “you can’t get pregnant your first time/standing up/if he pulls out/if you douche after.” Or my favorite (a quote from a 14-year-old mother of a toddler): “He told me we were making love, not having sex.”
12) They want to get on MTV’s “16 and Pregnant.”
Not having BTDT, that’s all I know of just from reading the research, case studies, and knowing a lot of people who work with teen mothers, single moms, and at-risk populations. But there’s probably others.
I don’t know how I feel about this post. On one hand, I want to laugh at what big idiots those parents are. On the other hand, my mom was a lot like this…and she was married to my dad for 7 years. She spent a good part of my life alienating me from my dad and being lazy and not getting a job (and still having the nerve to accuse my dad of “not paying enough” child support). I wish I would’ve known the truth growing up. Anyhow, my point is that I don’t doubt the authenticity of this post. I can see this sort of thing happening. The moral of the story is: Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time. (i.e. use contraception or don’t even have sex if you are not prepared to accept the responsibility that implies)
Did anyone else see this and then read in the metro yesterday about the guy who murdered his ex wife after she taunted him about child support and think ‘Daymmm… Never pissing a chav off on facebook again…’
It’s hard to avoid it when people start defending a man’s “right” to duck out on his offspring. It’s an obviously touchy subject for many people with uteruses.
Yuck, how unfortunate! I know my bf’s brother, his ex wife was that way. Was even demanding money for a kid she had in a different relationship before they married, said the guy wasn’t paying child support, turned out he had been the whole u
Yes making the child a facebook then writing all that crap on it is so taking half responsibility. I would settle for them both being adults first. Then they can work on being parents.
Got part way through, ranting pissed me off. TL;DR, chill out. Everyone is jumping to conclusions. I place the blame 50:50 til someone informs me of exactly what went down-which won’t happen, so 50:50 it stays.
Repeat.
most people that claim they’re reading a repeat forget that they probably saw it on the voting page
I don’t go on the voting page.
This definitely was a repeat.
Don’t think this was a repeat, but it was shown on that other facebook site.
Oh, maybe that’s where I saw it.
1. You know people submit their s**t to both sites. Can’t blame for overlap.
2. Stuff stays on the vote page for weeks sometimes before they put it on the front page. I remember this was up for a while.
3. Who the f**k needs to look at 47 different facebook sites?! GO OUTSIDE.
what other site does this? I am new to this one. I would like to check out another site.
I agree but people need to realize its not one persons fault its the other one tp
Then find it. (You won’t. Because it was on the voting page.)
Remember kids, you can’t just claim something without doing the work to back it up. Good try though, B-J.
and class if you look at exhibit “A”… this what we in the legal system call “slander”.
I beg to differ.
Actually, slander is when you falsely accuse someone of being/doing something they are/have not.
Slander is spoken – in print, it’s libel.
Specificity win.
No one got the Spider Man quote here?
please xplain the spider man thng.. i will die without knowing it
lmfao, omg. I think he deserved it.
Agree, the guy is obviously a deadbeat dad.
hard….
what a f***ing bad father…
aaaaand what an anoying mother:D
She actually writes like a 2 year old too.
Win, somewhat.
DRAGON!
I don’t think either of them should have EVER spawned a child.
Something tells me they didn’t plan it this way…
You’d be surprised at how many women “accidentally” get pregnant, thinking that it will solidify the relationship or how many men push the women to get knocked up, thinking it’ll keep them around.
the woman wins either way. gets the child and keeps the man, or gets the child and gets the mans pay check. i know from experience, sadly.
this is assuming you really wanted a kid, even if you have to take care of them yourself…
@st0815 – totally agreed.
Smarter than you – are you my ex girlfriend?
Wow! Your one anecdote certainly constitutes proof!
Your story is crap. You had me going until “roped into coming home from work to make her lunch”…
So he had a gun to his head..she was MAKING him sleep with her. Pill or not WEAR A CONDOM or better yet keep your s**t in your pants.
Vasectomy is not 100% effective.
No, It actually isn’t. I know a girl who tricked a guy into getting her pregnant, took all his money , and left him.
AGAIN, unless the turkey baster situation just happened as I explained,
AGAIN, does not matter!!!
That’s why prostitution should be legal so men don’t have to deal with crazy ho’s!! EVER
That sounds rather too much like the ‘if you don’t want children, don’t have sex!’ rubbish I’ve heard from so many people in the past.
(I’m female and childfree, but I do like sex)
Hint: don’t have unprotected sex with guys like that.
…just don’t have any sex with guys like that…
As a single mother I can safely say that your opinion is crap.
I didn’t mean to put it there, I actually meant to put it as a general response at the end, sorry about that. Lol
Because, since your child was conceived before condoms were invented, you couldn’t POSSIBLY have prevented pregnancy yourself.
D’bag.
Slander made an awful lot of generalizations himself.
Sure there’d be women running off if men could get pregnant. There are terrible people out there.
I sure am sick of the “she’s a whore!” “He’s awesome, women are sexual conquests” attitude some people seem to have. We don’t self impregnate….
*herself
There’s a reason sex outside of marriage is stupid. Say what you want but if people didnt sleep around so casually, and if people didnt condine it as natural, there would be much less of this.
Why do you assume it was sex outside of marriage?
Some one give this man a trophy.
@Mark: actually… it depends on the situation.
Fail.
some people shouldn’t be allowed to reproduce.
If he knows that many words as a two-year-old, I bet he’ll be a super-popular singer in 2-4 years. Even his name is Jason, they could be a duo. (you know who I’m talking about.)
Haha, Mark
No, Jason and the Argonauts.
Steven not paying his child support so baby Jason is angry
Thank you, Captain America.
…. did you not get the joke?
Commenter names make comments all the better.
Did you not get mine?
To be fair if he wanted her to quit messing around with his life he probably should not of knocked her up to begin with
Or added her as a friend on facebook?
There’s the real solution. What a concept.
To be fair though, he added the child, not her. Although, he did know that she was the one behind it, so…
I’ll stick with the “he shouldn’t have knocked her up in the first place” answer…
But it was his SON that he added as a friend, not the beyotch…
He should know a 2 year old cannot runa facebook account. Granted she is annoying, but hey, he should pay the money.
AMEN!!!!!!
‘Each and every one of us is entirely capable of avoiding reproduction if we really want to.’
Oh do tell. I’d love to have 100% certainty of never becoming knocked up.
(Don’t say ‘don’t have sex’. I don’t think my marriage would survive that)
Tubal Ligation.
Maybe it’s the fact you ARE too young and the doctor has years of experience?
Dre said it was possible. Just because you’re too young don’t take a scitz..
Are you aware of my age? I don’t think you are.
Let me put it this way, I’m in my 30s, been married for over 5 years, had to have one abortion due to contraceptive failure.
Now, if I’m old enough to make the decision to have a kid, surely I’m old enough to make the decision to NOT have one?
And that doctor was a bigot – all he came out with was the tired old “all women want babies” rubbish which is NOT true!
And I can throw a skitz if I like when people start telling me what reproductive decisions I, an adult woman, should or shouldn’t be able to make.
His two year old son who probably doesn’t know how to use a computer. The mom was the one behind the son’s “facebook”
Them”.
what the heck are you talking about??? Where did number 3 come from? Back on track please. weirdo.
Learn how comment towers work, moron. “Get lost” is responding to “Juliet” who is a troll that goes around bashing America in every post.
actually weirdo, thats obviuos. But she in no way is bashing all americans. AND people are having a huge very seriuso debate and he jumps in with stupid crap? No one cares.
Because everyone cares SOOO much about your femi-nazi/anti-man doctrine…
Judging by the number of responses and postings about what I said I would guess many are interested. And I had no idea FACTS, scientific data, logic, studies and polls were femi-nazi. Hmmm….must have missed that in the bibliography. Did you read that in your comic books?
Just because you capitalize “facts” doesn’t make your spew factual.
I love that you call everyone ‘weirdo’.
Weirdo…
LOL.
I kinda don’t find this funny. Poor kid.
Yeah the the thing is sad all around =/
What charming examples of humanity.
And there are still people who argue against forced sterilization.
They would ending up cloning themselves, which is worse
I’d like to think cloning would remain prohibitively expensive.
That’s not a guarantee, though. Damn…There is work to be done. To the lab, Wilson!
What we need is ‘forced evolution’.
I bet Daniel Tosh would have a few comments on this child’s ethnicity
Why would Daniel Tosh’s comments be of any importance?
His sh**ty show is basically the internet for the uninformed. These people were uninformed for a reason.
“lol their skin is a different color than mine! hurr hurr hurr”
Why would Daniel Tosh’s comments be of any importance whatsoever?
That sh**ty show didn’t make me laugh once, the one time I watched it. It’s very annoying to see him cracking up at his own pathetic joke, while you’re waiting to be entertained.
lol had to double post to troll harder didnt you and his show is actually pretty good
Failbook decided to fail on me, and wasn’t showing my comment.
WordPress sites get really annoying sometimes.
I wanna have Daniel Tosh’s babies.
Lol How do I tr0ll3d g0od?
Someone call Child Protective Services
Wasn’t this posted for Father’s Day?
wow what a great way to show how responsible you are as a parent i hope they know why they are on failbook cause they are stupid and need to grow the f**k up and stop worrying about the kids dad not being there and start worring about taking care of the damn kid
This is why condoms were invented. Really. This child is being raised by some awful people, and I feel very sorry for him.
And condoms are 100% effective now?
No, but they definitely decrease the chances of pregnancy big time. And they aren’t the only option available. She could’ve been on the pill, he could’ve worn a condom, and they could have decreased chances of pregnancy by 99.9999999%. Now that the child is 2, it is too late for that, but both parents need to learn to act like adults.
Even pill + condom isn’t 100%.
Abortion is not birth control. Birth control is the prevention of pregnancy, abortion is the termination of pregnancy.
Abstention? I didn’t think that not voting was a valid form of birth control.
Really? huh. I would think not putting your thing in one slot or another counts. Either way we are discussing a majority of a group being men deciding to screw people one way or another.
Sterilization is not 100% effective. The most effective birth control method (not counting abstinence) is an IUD.
you are incorrect. Sterilazation is number one. THEN IUD and the pill are both 99%. But the pill can have user error, ie, mtaking it at different times, forgetting a day, so IUD is more foolproff.
Actually studies show that the Mirena IUD is 99.9% effective, whereas sterilization is 99.8% effective.
Actually, even a hysterectomy/oophorectomy/salpingectomy isn’t 100% effective. Human tissue can regenerate, though it is rare.
@vanessa: it may be hard for you to believe, but it does happen.
@stupid: We were talking about hysterectomy (removal of the uterus) and oophorectomy (removal of the ovaries). Try to keep up.
But again, a slim chance isn’t NO chance.
Bodies work differently.
My math must be bad, I thought it had to be 1 in 1000 women for those percentages to work out.
You know what is 100%…keeping your legs closed and your pants zipped. If you don’t want kids that bad..DON’T HAVE SEX.
Oh I was wondering when the sl*t-shaming would show up.
(Want to tell me and my husband that we can never have sex since we don’t want kids ever? Go ahead,I could use a laugh)
Now I have my two kids that I wanted and planned, and my husband got a vasectomy the other day
. And seriously, folks? That’s the way it should be. Every child invited with forethought into this world.
As I said before birth control PREVENTS pregnancy, abortion TERMINATES pregnancy. Huge difference.
So, you know how fetuses are removed? I feel so great for you for not finding anything wrong about that. Because it’s sick.
Start a flame war. Go ahead be my guest. I love reading those things.
First of all, mortality refers to the death of humans, not fetuses. Second, read a medical journal, abortion has fewer risks than childbirth.
I mean, hell, cows can feel and move about and have basic thoughts and emotions, yet I don’t hear all the pro-lifers worried about their “choice” to be a burger.(End rant!
)
I think this ‘smarter than you’ person is a 14 year old whiner who gets their ‘medical facts’ from anti-choice sites.
However, I am impressed with your comments – keep with the fight! Real facts are the only way to wear down the anti-choicers
‘And while abortions have come a long way the risk of infection, scar tissues, and longer healing time is still much greater than childbirth’
Wrong wrong wrong. Read up on stuff from the Guttmacher institute for the real facts. You claim to be educated, try showing it.
(And I’ve had an abortion, truthfully I’ve had more painful periods than that.)
I know. Poor kid.
PS: Love the screen name.
Steven is a horrible man… that is all.
JERK!
Is it that random? He calls her a “crazy ass ho” – did that speech pattern just happen to develop after he abandoned her?
Agreeing with your post on the whole, but for someone telling other people (annoying as they may be) that they’re making random assumptions you make quite a few of them yourself. Just saying…
Loving the breeding-license idea, btw. And as for the sweet couple this discussion is about: sounds to me like they deserve eachother..
I didn’t make any assumptions… I was suggesting alternate possibilities to show that automatically making a “She’s A Ho” assumption is baseless.
Thank you! The only reason men aren’t considered sluts when they behave that way is the consequence of becoming pregnant themselves doesn’t apply to them. It’s so easy to call a woman a slut but think the man is awesome when the woman is the one who has to go around for 9 months with the proof of it in her uterus.
VERY WELL SAID!
Wow… just wow!
There are no winners here. Except, perhaps, Lance. But then again, Lance is friends with Steven…
Chirs: “Did Linda write this? This is awful”
Blame the mother, not the father.
lol i love how a 2yr old is this proficient at typing :O its amazing how smart our kids are getting! and the fact he can spell that well is mind blowing
actually, the spelling and grammar are pretty terrible…
But for a two year old it is impressive.
lol
Are you serious?! I was with my son’s father for almost a year when I got pregnant. We were using birth control, but it clearly wasn’t 100% effective. HE is the one who ran off and now he isnt paying his support, and I’m left raising and supporting our child on my own. Not all baby mamas got that way by spending more hours on their back than their feet.
It takes two to tango, folks.
Luckily for you, it only takes one to be a douche.
Women are perfect and never make any bad decisions.
No one said that, stop oversimplifying arguments.
Hah, no, they definitely do. I meant Captain is oversimplifying things and making it sound like all girls who get pregnant and aren’t married are whores.
And to support a child. Guess who’s shouldering both burdens?
HINT: Not the dad.
And men and women can share the responsibility for unintended pregnancy 50-50 when they’re sharing the parenting duties 50-50.
So long as single moms VASTLY outnumber single dads, though, guys who don’t want kids should just STOP MAKING THEM.
You chose to keep the baby, your ex didn’t. Why should he pay?
Weren’t you the one complaining about abortion earlier ? Or was that someone else?
Oh you crazy pro-lifers, What with your anti-gay protests and your not caring what happens after the baby is born~ You so crazy~
Why do you assume that he wasn’t wearing a condom?
please, please tell me you are just being a devils advocate! If you commit an act that leads to human life you are responsible for it. This is not just morality but law.
So, by that logic, once a child is born the mother no longer has any choice about what becomes of that child.
He chose to make the baby, what’s the difference?
HOLY. CRAP.
That’s a wall of text. You instantly win any argument ever.
Definitely want a few screen shots of this one, and might want to get the family court lawyer to log on and witness it too.
Dude could sue for custody and use this sh*t as a nice piece of leverage against the psycho b*tch.
Oh yeah, the guy won’t pay child support, left the mother, and calls her a ho.
He totally wants custody.
He might not even be the biological father. Just one of the guys she happened to “be with” when she got pregnant.
Incompetent.
lamebook repeat from days ago
i love the super leet “1″ at the end.
it was probably just a ‘!’ but she let go of the shift bar.
Put the “fun” in “dysfunctional”…then post it on Facebook for EVERYONE to see. Good plan.
now what if it really was the son who wrote this?
We’d hear about it when he gets the Nobel. Touch-typing at two years would be genius-level.
1234(+) Maury fans thought this was entertaining. I’m one of the 114 (+) who think that kid deserves better than us laughing at the train wreck his life is going to be…
hahahaha
Women do way worse than this.If this is all my ex did I’d be happy.
Men do the same thing. Why do men stick it in certain women? The world may never know WHY men and women can BOTH act like morons. Other than the super casual attitude some people have about sex these days, (three date rule, in my opinion, is way too casual) I am not sure.
hmm… 3 date rule casual? … i call bullsheet on that one.. sex is healthy, and not to mention fun, but if u take the right precautionary measures as in ‘wrap it up before u stick it up’ then there shud be no worries.
besides who r we to tell other people how to live there lives?
it wud be quite impressive if he did write this though! to be honest
And Chicka – you rock!
ur right, men can sleep around and get high 5′s, women sleep around and get nothing but negative remarks. a woman sleeps around and she is easy and guys go after her cause they know shes easy right?. a man sleeps around and hes a stud and women stay away from him cause hes a stud…wait no thats wrong. he became a playa cause women kept coming to him(or he kept going to women and saying/doing the right things) and most men arent gonna turn down sex sorry to say. no matter how u look at it a stud = man who sleeps with lots of women, slut = woman who sleeps with lots of men. the only reason for the positive and negative connotations is this: men and women think differently.
example u call a guy a man-whore: guy goes damn straight!!
u call a woman a whore: woman gets all upset and is “hurt”
call a man a slut: man goes ill be ur slut if u let me. lulz from other men ensue
call a woman a slut: the entire feminist movement wants to nuke every man in 100 mile radius….just sayin
double standards are many things: wrong, unjust, and stupid to name a few, however they can be funny.
Why?
Okay either this is fake or the mother intentionally gave her 2 year old son an account, friended the father and wrote this message.
Did anyone else see this and then read in the metro yesterday about the guy who murdered his ex wife after she taunted him about child support and think ‘Daymmm… Never pissing a chav off on facebook again…’
Whoa you guys srs much??
It’s hard to avoid it when people start defending a man’s “right” to duck out on his offspring. It’s an obviously touchy subject for many people with uteruses.
Someone didn’t wear a condom
Yuck, how unfortunate! I know my bf’s brother, his ex wife was that way. Was even demanding money for a kid she had in a different relationship before they married, said the guy wasn’t paying child support, turned out he had been the whole u
Yes making the child a facebook then writing all that crap on it is so taking half responsibility. I would settle for them both being adults first. Then they can work on being parents.
Anyone who created a facebook page for their sprog would get swiftly defriended from me. It’s pointless attention-seeking cr*p.
Agreed, just like ppl who make FB pages for their pets. Stupid.
I can’t believe I read ALL of these comments!
Roe vs. Wade exists to prevent crap like this. START USING IT.
Got part way through, ranting pissed me off. TL;DR, chill out. Everyone is jumping to conclusions. I place the blame 50:50 til someone informs me of exactly what went down-which won’t happen, so 50:50 it stays.
Chill.
if this is the one i think it is, the dude killed the woman who posted this =/ read about it in the paper
Don’t be silly; wrap your willy!
Maybe he should spend more time writing his child support checks rather than calling the mother of his son a ho on facebook…just sayin
