Polygamy is illegal everywhere in the US.
In any state with common-law marriage, it wouldn’t matter if your foreign marriage isn’t legally binding in the states, though that’s pretty unlikely, too.

My husband took off to India and I was unable to locate him for years to get a divorce. I finally see him on Facebook a couple months ago married with kids. I sent him a request and he accepted and I asked him how it was possible that he was married with children and still married to me??? Currently trying to get a divorce now but it has been unsuccessful thus far.

You guys need to listen to the interviews with the wife and the husband. I think the husband sounds a lot more credible than the first wife. It sounds like the husband left the first wife years ago and the first wife is unstable and not really in touch with reality. Seems the courts also agree with the husband.

- June ’09: First wife takes him back and stops divorce proceedings.
- 3 months ago: he leaves with the kids to FL to live with 2nd wife.

They have been separated for years, but she claims he kidnaps the children and leaves. THEN he’s married on FB, and she calls the police and the media. Does this sound good for anyone, especially the children?
