  2. noelle says:

  3. noelle says:

    *didn’t

  4. arty says:

Freshman year?? Excuse my ignorance of the US education system, but aren’t you close to 18 by then? That’s a bit older than 14!

    • Grruff says:

Umm I believe it is high school freshmen who are 14

    • sdfg says:

The key here being ‘ignorance of the US education system’. You’re only thirteen or fourteen when you’re a freshman in high school.

    • Palmer says:

Freshmen are typically 13 or 14 years old when they enter freshmen year… They are talking about Freshmen in high school- right after middle school [6th 7th and 8th grade] out of the 12. :P

      18 would be senior year/Freshmen college, I believe. ;)

    • MCvJJ says:

you’re thinkin’ college… everyone excuse him/her, she/he has a different system. Don’t be harsh people, I doubt any of you understand foreign systems in places like the Phillipines or in Germany etc. (If you do, good for you)

      • Wolf says:

in britain we don’t have freshman year.. not just germany and the phillipines

        • sdghsdig says:

“in places like the Phillipines or in Germany etc.”

It doesn’t look like he is just saying the Phillipines or in Germany to me.

        • WolfTheRetard says:

Thus the etc at the end of Philipines/Germany sentence.

          Herp derp.

        • stacy says:

notice it says in places LIKE. which in this case is not merely a filler but the beginning of a simile.

        • arty says:

In the UK, Freshers and 1st year University students, ie. 18 or 19 or thereabouts.

        • MinaLee says:

Note the etc. France doesn’t have “freshman year” either, if I understand it correctly.

          • Epictrollisepic says:

Canada… well, Canada is just there.. with education. It’s not something I’m proud of.

          • Wolf says:

i was making a point to show that MCvJJ is wrong

            • MCvJJ says:

              I wasn’t.

            • ... says:

yeah, and everyone else was making a point to show that you were wrong in assuming that MCvJJ was wrong.

It’s sad that not only did you not catch what MCvJJ was saying, but that after a ton of people corrected you, you still didn’t catch it.

          • Pierre says:

nope we don’t, well sort of. but its just has a name like any other year. tutututut gay american schooling system… WHO F**KING GRADUATES FROM PRIMARY SCHOOL?

            • Man Hater says:

Uhm, we do.. We graduate from Kindergarten, Preparatory, Primary school and then grade school, highschool then college. It’s just how it is.

          • randomasshat says:

Ya, France counts down in years, so your last year is your first, apparently…

            • Chacha says:

You almost got it right: We do count down years: in middle school we go from 6th year to 3rd year (4 years), and in high school, we have 2nd year, 1st year and Terminal year. In primary school, it’s different again, it’s organized in cycles. For college, it’s another matter completely because it’s the European system.

Congratulations, it’s not easy to understand!

      • Alex says:

The point is that they were criticizing something which they don’t understand, and even said they don’t understand. What everyone else is criticizing is their poor decision to do so.

    • emma says:

highschool freshman in highschool not college

  5. redwraithvienna says:

absolute truth … looked through highschool year book / photo albums a few weeks ago at a reunion … wow it was bad

  6. FTW says:

Imma guess this person is about 17 or 18, and therefore “grown up”. Yup, they’re all that hypocritical. I bet when she was 14 she thought she was just the biggest girl ever.

  7. Loki says:

14 is a legal age of consent in many European countries… So not actually a child anymore…

  8. Boogerman123 says:

I see what you did there.

  9. Silver says:

I’m just glad I got into make up at the age of 21, after I’ve learned a few things about how to put it on my face and not end up looking like an ICP idiot. Thank you, Michelle Phan.

  10. starling says:

At my high school, girls like that were considered to be sl-ts.

  11. SillyMan says:

    snap

  12. Foo says:

The prettiest girl that I know is seventeen and doesn’t wear an ounce of make-up. Take some advice from her all you girls that think you need it to look pretty or mature.

  13. Laice says:

Why do people, who appear to have finished school, still confuse “there”, “they’re” and “their”?

  14. Wilson says:

Worn-out woman complains about awkward girls. She should put on her bifocals and stop complaining because her lawn is deserted.

  15. LULZ says:

Oooh, need ice for that burn?

  16. obbop says:

Amongst the Chicanos (blessed be their La Raza culture), especially those who are present in California after illegally slithering into the USA… well those who DO attend school and almost always because it IS the best place to socialize, etc. it is typical for a freshman to be 18 or older.

Invaded from the south by a culture that tends to ridicule education and to look askance at those who attempt to educate themselves.

Yah’ see… education is for pussies. The “cult of machismo” requires “real men” to work by the sweat of one’s brow and prove one’s manliness by being able to intimidate others.

  17. Terminal says:

    I wouldn’t really consider 14 to be a “baby”.

    • Patrick says:

You must not be close to a 14 year old. My younger brother was still a baby to me at 14 (big age gap) and my best friend’s daughter will, in 4 years still be a baby to me at 14. (as will my best friend’s yet unborn baby/ies in 15 years :D ).

  18. Liz R. says:

Failbook started out really funny but lately the posts have just been pathetic attempts at humor, this one included.

    FAILBOOKING, you’re doing it WRONG.

  19. Hobson's Choice says:

I, for one, never wore miniskirts and high heels, make-up and lacy stockings at the age of fourteen… and I still don’t!

    Mind you, I’m a guy…

    • Anonymous #57 says:

Pssh, I was about to agree with you, then I finished reading your post…

      ::)

    • magicalnora says:

      Haha, win comment xD

    • ThatDarnCat says:

You had us worried for .00357 seconds… That’s more than a minute in cat years.

    • Hobson's Fate says:

Hobson, wait until you’ve been married a few years. You’ll be posting ads on craiglist looking for other “like-minded TVs” just like all the other str8 and married men.

    • Anon says:

Being close to 14 years old, I would like to complain about a few of the commenters thinking that 14 year olds are little kids. Honestly, that’s about the age you really start to grow in maturity… Sure, there are some slutty ones, but there are plenty of slutty college-aged(and older) people as well. And not all 14 year olds who wear makeup and try to look older are sluts. Some of them are sluts, some of them are annoying wannabes, and some of them are totally okay people.
Kay I’m done rambling now. BTW, Hobson’s comment made me smile.

      • Anon says:

Aaand somehow my comment ended up here instead of the bottom of the page… O.o

      • A sapient raccoon says:

The 14 year olds that I’ve met have been pretty immature and stupid. The main difference between them and little kids is that 14 year olds think that they’re not kids, which makes them more dangerous (and, in the OP’s case, more funny).

      • Atheist_Phish_Ninja says:

again….wait til you’re older, then you’ll realize how naive you sound.

    • Coral says:

You should try it sometime. ;)

      • Bowler-Hat says:

I am only one year younger than fourteen, and I do look at people my age as children. No one really needs to wear makeup at the age of fourteen. Most of them are sluts or they have slutty behavior. Most people in my age group are immature and stupid. All the stereotypes (sadly) are true. There are only a few good teenagers that are very mature and don’t wear make-up and try to act eighteen.

  20. iGetBored.T_T says:

Um…I’m fifteen, and I don’t wear make-up…at all. I don’t feel the need to paint myself and look like a raccoon, like most girls in my school do, and I sure as heck don’t dress skanky! I didn’t wear a tank top until I was 12! >.< So yeah, not all teenage girls are trampy.

  21. blesh says:

    Prostitots.

  22. ListeningtoDisturbia says:

You know, it’s really sad how girls can’t look “pretty” without being half-naked. It’s disgusting. I’m 12 and some of the popular girls are already wearing booty shorts, skimpy shirts, and lip gloss. I, meanwhile, am in a t-shirt and jeans. Just… ugh.

  23. Kathryn says:

LMFAO!!! Thank You Justice!! I just made ‘Prosti-tots’ my ‘FB word of the day!’

  24. Lim says:

    We’re they drunk or high?

  25. Jazzy the Man (who is actually a woman) says:

Is it sad that I am nineteen and the only time I wear make up is when my friends tie me down to force it upon me?

  26. Alejandro says:

actually, a lot of the white girls in my school just use eye liner, the thing on the cheeks (not too much in my opinion) and lipstick….the hispanic girls dont use any (and if they do its usually just lipstick) and they dont need the makeup…the latinas are sexy in my school…and we have a dress code so imagine them in regular clothes! thank God im latino so that im surrounded by them! (im 15)

  27. IHATECHANZ says:

    Oh my F**K.
Do you guys ALWAYS have to argue about grammar? I think by the end you forget that this is a HUMOUR site, So shut the f**ck up.

  28. Aza says:

Calling this chick a hypocrite is kind of short sighted. Just because she did it in her past doesn’t mean she doesn’t realize now that she made a mistake. Hind-sight is always 20/20.

  29. ericklavier says:

I dunno what to think bout this. My younger sis just turned 15, and wears makeup. Somedays, she has bad makeup days…but overall she does it beautifully. Then again…she has a hell of a lot more maturity at her age than i did…I was far from an angel at that age.

    • Marvelous Mira says:

It is kind of nice to be figuring out makeup in your awkward teen years instead of when you’re in your 20s and 30s (in my mom’s case, she didn’t wear makeup until she was 45). I think the main idea is to wear makeup in moderation, though, where you don’t look like you’ve painted your face. Personally, I use foundation only unless it’s a special occasion.

  30. honeybear1985 says:

I’d just like to point out that i think it’s odd that she’s going back to sleep… which means either she dreams about young slutty girls, or she’s next to one…. hmmm what a world we live in!

    • Atheist_Phish_Ninja says:

Thank you, glad I’m not the only one who thought that last part of the status was a little confusing.

  31. Marymary says:

I agree she is not a baby, kids are gowning up sooner these days, then like the 1960′s leave to beaver kids, girls in the 1900′s didn’t get there period until like 17 and 18, yeah well my high school we had no problem to find guys that would go to 3 base with us, and that was sin back then, ha ha like 2005!

    • davey o says:

I see about 6 things in your comment that suggest that you need to go back to highschool and re-learn…

    • Teebee says:

The whole “kids are gowning up sooner these days” idea is just crap. We had 14 year-olds fighting in WWI and WWII (unofficially of course). Kids were just coddled in the post-war years so now we think everyone needs to act like a 6 year-old until they’re 22.

    • Bowler-Hat says:

They’re not at all growing up. They have no maturity at all. They’re just copying what they see on TV and s**t.

  32. Atheist_Phish_Ninja says:

    hahah love it

  33. Jamie says:

um, I’m 14, and most of my friends don’t wear makeup yet… I don’t, either.

  34. Jierda says:

Heh. I could actually say this and not be hypocritical ^^
