  8. Poole says:

What… A WoW player that actually had a girlfriend?! STOP THE PRESSES!!

  9. Aelice says:

Lmao I read this whilst playing wow

  10. Mitch says:

*sigh* I wish I had no life so I could play WoW again…

  11. DampTowelMan says:

What’s really funny here is that a guy who plays WoW actually had a girlfriend.

  12. Long before dawn says:

Quit Facebooking and log on. You’re holding up the raid. I need my frost badges!!!!

  13. Who knows? says:

No one who plays WoW actually says World of Warcraft. unless they’re only like lvl 50 n000000000bs lol

  14. Gingir says:

The husband won’t let me go back to WoW. 8( <—- sad face. He does encourage my HALO and SGR addictions.

  15. Kelsey says:

I’m not sure how this is a friendship fail. None of us on here know what the girl was like. She could have been one of those crazy girlfriends who will disown her boyfriend if he has fun of any kind with people that aren’t her.

On a little side note. There are girls who play WoW, it’s rare but they do exist. It’s a good way to have fun with friends who are in the military, in another state or whatever.

    • PK says:

Not really rare, the gender ratio is about 40/60.

      • Kelsey says:

I guess it’s my server then. Out of all the people who play it’s 90% men and 10% women. There could be more but they don’t talk on Ventrillo.

        Wow that sounded nerdy.

        • PK says:

I think Vent is the problem. Not trying to sound sexist here, but a lot of women who play are scared of/annoyed at the idiots who would make a big deal of “a girl on vent LULZ.” If you get into a pug, how many people “don’t have mics”? Then try and get into a guild vent. Guarantee you’ll hear a lot more women on the guild vent.

          • Kelsey says:

Yeah, in pugs there are a lot of annoying people in vent. In guilds though, at least the ones I’ve been in there have only been about 5 girls who talk in vent tops. There could be more but I think the personality of the person also has something to do with it. I know someone in WoW who doesn’t like to talk to people unless they are directly spoken to.

          • Dina says:

This. My girlfriend and I both eschew Vent for that reason – she knows from experience, I know from her experience.

    • Asha says:

I’m a female wow player, I’ve gotten two of my friends to play as well, both female ^_^ Then I’ve got all my chick friends in game. Lots of girls play. Hell, there’s a guild(or at least was a guild) that was called
      For The Horde!

  16. WhiskeyTangoFoxtrot says:

Heehee… My best friend was going through a tumultuous relationship. When it finally ended and he changed his status to “single”, I was the first to click on ‘like’ XD

    • Jane says:

I’m too lazy to go back through to pull an exact number, but I’m pretty sure I got double-digit ‘likes’ when I split with my ex.

  17. rendant6 says:

You cant make this s**t up lol

  18. Alex says:

There are many reasons to ‘like’ someone becoming single…
    1) Friends jealous of the attention the ex was getting.
    2) Friends knowing that it was a bad relationship.
    3) Friends who have crushes on them and now have an opportunity.
    4) Frenemies who like knowing that the poster’s heart has been ripped out.

  19. ballencat20 says:

    i like world of warcraft…im a level 80 night elf!! :D

  20. Missy says:

I wish I was still into wow. It was a lot of fun the first couple years, but it just get so boring so quickly now. I’ll play for 2 months and get bored and quit for 6.
Hopefully it’s fun again when the xpac comes out. Kinda wish my bf would play wow with me though, instead of halo and whatever else.

  21. Enchiridion says:

seems like more of a win to me

  22. Daboos says:

Very much a win. If it wasn’t summer and I didn’t have a boyfriend, I would totally be leveling in WoW. That and if fury wasn’t so nerfed beyond recognition.

  23. wow is for people with no self esteem and a failed social life

    • PK says:

I don’t think you’ve ever actually played WoW, or seen who plays it for real.

    • notrealyposting says:

I have a great social life Very high self esteem and play WoW to boot
and find the stereotype you just portrayed to be offensive

  24. the narwhal says:

WOOHOO!! WoW FTW and is a hell of alot better than farmville… and we have dragons beat that

  25. Cece says:

Lul. This is not a Friendship Fail.
Some nerds need their friends. And WoW brings them together.

  26. exa says:

ONE OF US. ONE OF US. ONE OF US.

  27. Sophie says:

Aww lol :D when I found out the guy I fancied played WoW, I signed up for the 10 day free trial so he could help me out :i
We’ve now been together for a year and a half and I think it’s so much fun playing with him.
Not all girlfriends ban you from WoW! :D

  28. Jack says:

Had to chip in, its inevitable. God is watching, ive played WoW for 4 years, and its a game that if you looked at all the awards its won and the amount fo players involved, you’d believe the hype.

Annyywayyy in those 4 years ive had several girlfriends and ALOT of sex, it wasnt a hardcore 4 years, jsut when i fancied playing it, gotta have a fair balance.
Point is, its funny when idiots stilll drag out this steriotype of WoW players been the sad virgins, whilst i go to college with hundreds of very smelly, sometimes overweight COD and xbox addicts that havnt ever held a girls hand and noone points a finger. WoW is a social online game. Oh and one of my girlfriends played wow too, good luck finding a girl who will put a peg on thier nose and go ahead and play COD with ya. XxXx

  29. Amanda says:

I got a question. If you guys know so much about women, how come you’re here at like the Gas ‘n’ Sip on a Saturday night completely alone drinking beers with no women anywhere?

    By choice man.

Substitute WoW for Gas n’ Sip. Of course, the conversation is held in chat…..

  30. nes says:

Weak. I thought it meant they had 4 people waiting in line to date them. That would have been a much better ending.

  31. DLight says:

    @nes

That would be a win. This is Failbook.

  32. Neinna says:

MAN, THE HELL WITH CHICKS, WE GOT ICC25 IN TEN MINUTES

  33. 36-31-38 says:

Speaking as a woman who does not play WoW who dates a WoW player in a serious guild, I can understand why this guy’s friends like his single status.

My man never fails to show me that I am more important than his guild, although in support of his hobbies, I never plan couple-things on his raid nights if I can help it – and always with a few weeks notice. In fact, I find those nights to be excellent girls-night-out nights, or me-time. He would probably play on his non-raid nights if I wasn’t around though. Considering our non-raid couple activities, I think he’s ok with not playing WoW on those nights. -_^

  34. lolwut says:

Shagging Girlfriend > Wow > Nagging Girlfriend

  35. polarbehr says:

    Work is Da Poop!

  36. PANDA_RAMA says:

    …wow… OMG PUN TIME XD

  37. blueurmyboi says:
