ZOMG! We’re post-op from our facelift and feeling pretty! Something really exciting for us is the site name change to Failbook.com! We might have out grown the suffix, but we aren’t going to go nuts and change it to some crazy symbol and go by “the site formally known as Failbook.” Don’t worry, failbooking.com will still get you to us. We’re happy with the results of our operation and we’d love to hear what you guys think.

wasnt there some mad lawsuit over the domain name? failbook was taken by someone who was smart enuf to grab it when “fail” and facebook was/is so popular then failblog had to get a lawyer cuz they felt theyre name was being stolen?

I actually don’t like the fact that you have links and buttons EVERYWHERE advertising all the other cheezburger sites. It’s annoying and it takes up way too much space. I’ll be scrollin’ down looking at my facebook fails and randomly I see, “Now it’s time to check out Demotivational posters lololol!” : |

The original Failbook was better managed. After the buyout…there was a void. I used to laugh out loud at Failbook. Now, I find it amusing, and I will still visit the site….but it is an inferior experience. You guys should hire the original Failbook owner to run this thing.
Eh, people are reluctant to accept change sometimes, however minor it may be. I think it looks great, and I have been wishing the site had the cheezburger links at the top since I started visiting the site. Nice job, guys! Now the constant changes on the real Facebook site, on the other hand, I don’t like. (I’m no different, sometimes it’s hard to get used to something familiar changing all the time.) I don’t see those as improvements, but this definitely is!
I hope this domain change earns you enough money to make it worth the steps you took to acquire it. The Cheezburger Network has forever changed in my mind, and not for the better. Ben Woo fail?

This site was already cluttered and difficult to read, now you added to it with new features like a 2 miles wide “Add to Favorites” button.
Visually, all you can see at first glance is stuff surrounding the stories (which are the main purpose of this site), not the stories themselves.
You should bring back the emphasis on the STORIES and be a bit more subtle with the rest.
Don’t get me wrong, I love this site, but going around all the rubbish is a pain in the ass.
is it just me? or do the fails all cut off on the right side? can’t read the whole fail.
well great – this is now getting the poor look of the other cheezburger sites – and now unavoidably connected with them – with all of their business around every page – i really enjoyed the old failbooking where it was cleaner – simpler – proper spacing – not just used for cross promotion. And i hate the way you all do comments – why don’t you mimic the facebook style of comments – i liked it the way it was
so like… lamebook… except they’ve been here longer.

All the Cheezburger sites eventually get transformed to this. Yes this has been a cb site for quite a while… it happens to all of them eventually. This is how they make the money. The ads and crap do not bother me, as long as the content is here.
The ONLY complaint about the standard CB layouts is that it does load a bit slower, if there was a way to trim up the page sizes or JS performance, you’ll have a winner.
Ad haters: get an adblock program or something and quit using IE
