Pretty standard Mac user response to problems with Apple products. Blaming Microsoft satisfies them.

Erm…yeah you’re right about the second point but not the first one. The guy was referencing the current generation Nano which can take videos with the camera but can’t take still images.
Except there’s that nagging little detail that iPod nano 5th generation is indeed video-only. It has no still camera.
If it were made by Microsoft, it wouldn’t even be able to take videos.

Really Zune isn’t all that bad compared to IPOD, it just gets a bad name, and it’s pictures and videos are fine. Personally, I use a more open source, a player that’s not tied into effing Itunes or Zunes shit.

Loren, the iPod nano, the iPod that he’s obviously talking about, does indeed take only videos; the CCD sensor for video is smaller than that required for still photos, so Apple only included the video sensor to conserve on size.
umm, you know that video is actually just a bunch of picturess played back or captured very fast? Like, say, a flipbook? It’s not a hardware limitation.
I dont’ have one myself, but I’m willing to bet that the video being taken isn’t of very high quality. It’s probably rather pixalated, and therefore not good for photos. So yeah, it can be a hardware limitation.

I got my girlfriend one and was surprised as well but in the other direction. When I watched the video on the iPod it looked ok. When I moved it to my computer I couldn’t stand it. I have seen better videos taken on phones from 6 years ago.

the little iPods, the nanos, only do video. no photos. I don’t know why, seeing as how it took them til the third freakin’ iPhone to figure out how to put video in, and now they have an iPod that doesn’t do photos, only video.

How can I put this… the 3rd generation iPod Touch has been out for months, and no, it does not have a camera. Whoever you heard that from was (a) wrong, and (b) really really behind.
(And if you were referring to the media itself, and not the camera, other iPods have had photo-and-video viewing capabilities).
