Just dismantle this site. It’s not getting any funnier, just more and more terrible.
I completely agree. The older stuff had me laughing hysterically, while this newer stuff is just annoying. A lot of people apparently don’t know what funny is.
I agree with rob, dont b*tch about, go do something else with your live. And everything gets a bit slow after a little while. Even verydemotivational had some downtime, but thats over now and the poster are coming back. Still hate the 17 doller ganstah though.
I totally agree with Rob, if you hate it so much then how about instead of wasting your time throwing a fit about it you just don’t go on it?

“Supposed to be” is not the same as “is”. Indeed, there are some funny things brought up on this site, but this is not one of them. And if something isn’t funny, then please don’t complain about people saying it isn’t funny. Just laugh at something that isn’t humorous and move on.
I agree. Some things on this website arn’t funny. Some are. If you don’t think its funny don’t take the time to comment. And if you don’t like this site then why are you on it in the first place?

I hate failbookings that feel the need to clarify who a person is. It takes the fun out of it and ruins any surprise. If anything, it makes it less funny or kills the joke altogether, since it tries to explain why it is supposed to be funny. If you have to explain the joke, then it is no longer funny.
So apparently when people are pointing out who a person is in a post because everyone knows who everyone is on the internet the post isn’t funny. I’ll be the first to admit that I would not have found the post even snicker worthy unless the last comment in the post was the girls boyfriend. They post those to explain who the person is. The post wouldn’t been amusing on any level unless we knew who that person was.

Why exactly does pointing out that he is the boyfriend make it funny? Why is it supposed to add to the layer of humor? How are we to believe the person really was going out with the newly single poster, and not just a different friend? Is this funny without knowing who any of them are or what relationships they hold? No. Is it funny that claiming they hold roles that present a situation someone thought was ironic because of their position? No. It is on par with a joke you try to explain to a coworker who doesn’t find it humorous, and you make up excuses like “I thought it was funny then.” or “You had to have been there to understand.” or even “Point is, it was funny at the moment and I suddenly changed my mind that I don’t need your laughter to make me feel good about myself.”

It makes it funnt when you know who these people are. If it is pointed out that a poster is someone’s relative or thier partner or something, then that’s where the humour comes from. If you didn’t know that was the boyfriend, then it’s just a random person asking a question.

The “Boyfriend” note isn’t an explanation of the joke, it’s just so that we and the person who posted this are on the same page. Otherwise, this would be like telling a DMV joke to a 5 year old.
So the joke goes like “So this person on Facebook changes their relationship status to single, and someone says ‘When did this happen?’ Except, they don’t add a question mark at the end. Anyways, the funny part is, get ready for this, they may or may not been dating. DID I BLOW YOUR FUCKING MIND?!”

i don’t understand why so many people are so disappointed about this site “not getting funnier”. it only posts about a very specific topic and it will inevitably get boring after so many entries you have seen. It’s not like there is an endless amount of new and different funny scenarios that can happen on facebook. this site just has a rather short life-span of interest, get over it
Yeah, I read it searching for the real gems here and there but I realize most of it’s going to be rather repetitive because, quite frankly, a lot of the people who use FB are stupid about using it in the SAME WAY ALL THE TIME.

Actually this is a bug on Facebook–when you want to simply “remove” your relationship status from showing up (i.e., take it off the list of items that people can see, or just remove the status to ” “, it DEFAULTS to “Single”. I did that once, and next thing I knew, it was saying “(Reciproxinnet) is Single”. Evidently any change in your relationship status will be made public; Facebook won’t let you opt out of that, and that includes just trying to take it off the public info.

the same exact thing happened to me
This happened to me- my boyfriend, who LIVES with me, broke up with me by taking our relationship status off of Facebook, instead of walking 20 feet into the other room and telling me he was breaking up with me. So I found out through a facebook relationship status change that he was breaking up with me. I still have to live with him, too, because of financial reasons.
