I think it’s a legitimate question. I tried to ‘save page as’ and send in some fails, but they didn’t work. I also tried using the ‘snip’ function of my pc and that didn’t work either. FYI it was a yahoo answers fail by someone who wouldn’t eat flour or sugar because she was vegan…
Why is the individual who is a vegan and won’t eat flour or sugar a fail? Because of your ignorance? That makes a lot of sense, because some very strict vegans don’t eat white sugar because bone char made from the bones of cows is sometimes used to whiten sugar. As for commercial flour some are treated with treatment agent 920 (L-Cysteine)which can be extracted from duck and chicken feathers. It is used as a ‘dough improver’ or ‘bread improver’. I’m glad I could help you not sound a dumbass when you think you are cool pointing out a (not) fail on Yahoo! Answers.

Oh I feel like such a fool! Oh how can I atone for my ‘igoranace’? *sobs* But wait, by those standards, there is not a single food on earth that could be eaten. Fruit? Pollinated by insects! Vegetables? Fertilized with animal manure! Water? That’s a fishes habitat! And computers themselves? Made from materials mined in in animal habitats- think of all the fauna that dies during that. I can respect if someone wants to go veggie, but if you’re concerned about flour and sugar not being correct enough to eat, I cannot take you seriously. Self Righteous ignorant vegan FAIL!
My comment was simply that something you thought was a fail, because you didn’t realize that to some people flour and sugar aren’t vegan, wasn’t. I know everyone doesn’t know about either of those being treated with animals products, I am not a vegan myself, but when I don’t know things about certain subjects, like illnesses, religions, cultures or people’s dietary habits, I don’t tell them they are a failure, I go and learn more about the subject to understand why they believe what they do. Whether or not that individual is wrong in your eyes about flour and sugar doesn’t take away from the fact that animal products are used to make those food items, and that is why they won’t eat them. Vegans may come off as high and mighty, but I believe their hearts are in the right place, they truly love animals and care for their well-being to restrict their diets so as to eliminate pain and suffering. Fertilizing vegetables and pollinating fruits does not hurt the animals and is a natural part of life. Drinking water from a lake does not hurt fish. Please use some examples that actually make sense, and hurt the animals. I believe you just thought it was a fail because “like, sugar and flour don’t have meat in them, lolz!”
