A long time ago, companies used to send you products (thinking you might buy them) and then bill you for them if you didn’t mail it back at your expense. Now its illegal. My mother knew a doctor who got one of these and sent a similar response back to a company that thought he’d be so thrilled with their samples, they tried to bill him. His response was to send the product back along with samples of different kinds of placebos. The letter went something like this:
Thank you for your wonderful opportunity to check out your product! Unfortunately, I won’t be needing them and have returned them as per instructions. While I was at it, I thought you might like to try out some of my samples! Enclosed is a bill because I know you will be thrilled with all of the samples I have sent. Please remit $XXX.XX.
That was definetly worth the time it took me to read it. I can’t thank the person who wrote it enough. Even if it just means those who read failbooking laugh, the world is still a better place. Thank you for providing quality entertainment.

Yes, he sent in his own witty reply. So what? It would still be funny if his reply had been “I looked at your profile too, goodbye spammer” Having a sarcastic, witty reply not only makes it that much more enjoyable to read, but has also inspired me to be more creative when dealing with spammers.
