Gj defending all females lol. Even though im a guy putting down girls is the opposite of what to do. Who put up with you being in their stomach making them sick, and other stuff needed not to be said. A WOMAN. So respect them and they respect you…… Even though it is wrong for her to do that….for example go to the bottom to read my other comment by “LOL”. She shoulda atleast talked to him about it first.

It’s a common IRC and messageboard trope to treat typed text as something a person has “said”. There’s not really any good words for noting in short or elegant form that you can see what someone has written, so we act like synaesthetes to pretend that it’s speech instead.

Hence, he’s on her friendslist (as you would be), she’s posted a public status update, he of course can see it – and it’s basically the same effect as his sitting in the same room as her and her friends, she forgets he’s there somehow, starts talking about him “behind his back” to the circle… “ahem – i’m still here…”

And in any case, thinking he’ll throw it out after that treatment is pretty short sighted, if it’s got beaten-up enough that she’s thinking about summarily throwing it in the trash.

Mind you we can tell she’s unhinged in how she KNOWS that this course of action will cause stress and drama, but is going to forge ahead with it by underhand means instead.

Now if you don’t mind me I need to go find out what’s happened to my 12-year-old Hard Rock Cafe T-shirt I got from Reykjavic on a group trip up to Iceland… took it out from the archive end of my cupboard to wear to a Rammstein gig last week… gone in the washer but haven’t seen it since, as I wasn’t the one emptying it.

Yes, however, you’re kind of missing the point that it’s HIS property, and therefore HIS say-so on whether or not, and when, it gets thrown out. Would you like someone arbitarily deciding whether your stuff stays or goes? No, you wouldn’t. Sure, talk to him, say “that hoodie’s getting a bit old and tatty, it’s stained, and it smells even when you DO wash it – don’t you think it’s time you got a new one?”. Maybe he’ll actually go along with it; he may even have been thinking about it for some time but didn’t know if he (or the two of you, if you’re on a joint budget) could afford it right now, and the suggestion will be the excuse he needs to splash out. Or maybe it’s a sentimental thing – he’s had it since he was at college and it’s a reminder of those halcyon days, and possibly friends that have been lost along the way. (My uni scuba club one certainly is both of those, and anyone who threatens it will meet with deadly force).

I don’t often feel like – or feel comfortable – saying sexist things, but that post is either a deliberate troll or written by the same kind of selfish, arrogant woman who thinks that she knows what’s right for everyone else in the world, and will go ahead and do it without asking or further contemplating whether she really should. Often said “right thing” comes down to throwing away / replacing the target’s things, or interfering with their social life behind the scenes… even though the woman in question may not be too good at keeping her own sh*t together. Probably because her nose is stuck in too many other pies that are, strictly speaking, none of her f*cking business.

We all know at least one, I bet (whether or not we realise it yet)…… luckily I only know a couple, and have managed to fight back enough that this sort of infuriating nonsense isn’t the issue it once was (vigourous bouts of “see this stuff? MINE. You don’t touch. Else I start playing games with YOUR stuff as well. Same thing goes for my friends, anyone I’m dating, and their friends too.” seem to do the trick).

The other women and girls I know are a bit better-adjusted and we all get on fine most days, apart from the occasional blowup that seems to happen about the same point in a 4-week rotation (but not EVERY 4 weeks…). The “battle of the sexes” isn’t that fierce a thing any more, but some of the soliders don’t seem to have got the news about the armistice. And some are just psychos who don’t care, and have little concern for others’ feelings – like Meghan.

(and yes… men like this exist as well… and I know at least one… but for some reason they seem less common. Maybe it’s a glass ceiling effect – they end up becoming heads of business (or state), removed from the everyday world quite a bit so they can’t spread the un-love in a concentrated, personal way, but instead add small particles of misery to millions of other people’s lives instead)

It depends on how you wash your whites… Personally I don’t wash ‘em with bleach – so in such a case the blue’d turn all my whites baby blue or grey… The idea that white stuff’ll bleach the blue zip up on it’s own is a laughable, epic fail…
