And if they say – but you let her use the cell phone and pay the bill no matter what it is, the parents can argue, that such costly texting falls outside the standard practice of telephone use of their child.

If you give a child ice-skates and he takes them off and cuts other kid using them as a weapon, you can’t really blame parents that they have persuaded their kid to use skates like that.

You misunderstand. There are charities where for each person that clicks “like” on the company’s FaceBook page or follows them on Twitter, etc., they (the company) donates $1 or so to the charity (of course it’s not free, the company gets “viewers” out of it which they can parlay into ad-dollars). Stephen Colbert did this a while back.

Cara thought that this was the same thing: people “spend” their time by texting in, and the company donates some money. Obviously she’s too young to really understand corporate economics to realize that this was not the case, but it doesn’t mean that she was stupid or greedy.

to be fair the American educational system was crumbling before Bush came around. It was no one political partys fault, either. (not parties because it was no one party. it’s a possessive not a plural s. and screw punctuation, it’s like 3am over here)

driving too slow can be deadly. You get on an interstate where traffic is going 80mph and try driving 25 and you’re going to be causing issues. Florida has hourly traffic accident reports on the news, it needs all the help it can get. All the old people go there to die, you see, so the slow driving is a constant problem.
I lived there WAY too long. O_O As a result I’m a fantastic driver! You never know when the tourist in front of you is going to slam on the breaks because they may have missed their exit to Universal Studios. -_-;;
