Why waste someone else’s time by cheating, if you’re not happy in a relationship, get out before you cheat? People are cowardly. Tell the other person you are not interested anymore so they too can carry on with their lives. It sounds messier, but in the long run, you don’t look like a douche for cheating and they can eventually get over it and move on to someone else.
People should not have to snoop, but hey, if someone else is risking your life with STD’s, I say snoop all you want. Aids is a life sentence and it’s crap like that, which makes it worse.

You know, it is common sense. If you’re with someone but you find yourself with someone else, do the other person a favor and break things off. BUT there are other factors as well. A friend of mine cheated on her husband, but she wouldn’t break it off with him. Her thing was, what if the side dish doesn’t pan out? If she left her husband, then she’d have no one to fall back on. Another friend of mine cheated on every man she dated. Now to me it would be logical to go and start a relationship with the side dish since he’s always the man on the sidelines. BUT like the previous person in my comment, if the main relationship didn’t work out, she always had someone on the side so she would not be alone.
Now while these theories to me are a bunch of crap (and that’s only because I could never do that to someone I dated), that was truly what they believed in. What can you say? Some people are idiots.
There’s no excuse for cheating. If you’re not happy with your relationship then you need to talk to your partner and if things don’t get better then leave the person before doing something stupid like cheating. If people knew how to communicate better then maybe a lot of things like this could be avoided. He’s a dumb-ass for not logging out and letting himself get caught. But, he probably wanted to get caught in order to maybe make his wife jealous. I’m not saying she’s right for snooping through his email either. But, hell, if I had reason to believe my partner was cheating and couldn’t get them to admit to it then I may snoop too, just to make sure they’re not lying to me.
